Van Holtens Jumbo Pickle in A Pouch - Hot and Spicy - American Pickles - Fat Free - Gluten Free

Purchased this as a last minute Christmas stocking stuffer for my Dad & it was a hit! Bit of fun and it actually tasted delicious which was rather surprising given the appearance!

Alot spicier than i thought it would be

I ordered a few at the same time - I've had them before and they're delicious. But this time, I could feel that one of the packets felt lighter than usual, and I noticed through the clear parts of the packet that there was lots of seeds floating around. When I opened the packet, I was presented with half a gherkin that was totally busted. Apparently, according to Amazon, I can't get a refund or replacement for this. But I would appreciate a replacement because if this was in a store it wouldn't even be a question! Thanks

Saw these and thought I had to try itI love hot and spicy so gave it a try and was pretty impressed- good level of heat - even hots up your lips which is kinda good :-) bit pricey for what it is and wish it was a bit bigger for what it cost but definitely worth a go

When I first read the reviews I was slightly disappointed and didn’t know what to expect however I had the courage to order a pickle and it was amazingly fresh and crunchy.Yes it is an American snack so it’s far away from being healthy,the juice left is literally neon green and it has a strong smell.You’ll have to wash very good any surface if you spill it! But the hype is real and it’s worth the try if you are a pickle lover.Would love to try the sour one tho :)

Ordered for my partner. At first he said that the taste was weird and not spicy but then after he ate about half, it was a little spicy but not much and by then he got used to the weird taste which he said was probably due to how it has been preserved. Not great but not bad. Although interesting to try.

This was a daft stocking filler for my husband who found it hilarious but I suspect was a little worried about opening. This ominous-looking pouch resided in the door of the fridge for quite some time before I got fed up of seeing it and ordered my husband to open it. He did, but on the condition both my son and I try it too.Now, I'm no wuss when it comes to a bit of heat and am partial to the odd jalapeno or two but OH MY WORD, this was crazy hot and within a couple of crunches we were all pulling faces and running for the tap!There's definitely a crunch but I cannot comment on the taste as the heat overpowered it and none of us could finish it. I know the clue is in the name but I don't think we were quite expecting that level of heat!It's a tad pricey for one pickle but was an interesting purchase just the same.

Packaging was fine, no leakage whatsoever. The pickle itself was crunchy and flavourful, but it's probably best stored in the fridge, even though it says you don't need to. I felt that it lost it's crunch after being on unopened on the shelf for a few months.
