This snorkel set fits for adult and youth. We recommend teenagers over 15 years old wearing this snorkel mask. But on the other hand, it also depends on snorkeler's face shape. The inner horizontal dimension of the mask is 5.3 inch which you could see in the Product Description. You could measure your son's face dimension and compare whether it can be worn or not. Q: does this work with having a beard?

The lower skirt of this snorkel mask sits below your nose and above your upper lip. Please make sure that you are not pressing on your beard while wearing the mask, which in turn affects the fit between the mask and your skin. Also, male divers should be aware that facial whiskers can cause the snorkel mask to leak in the philtrum or cheeks. If you don't want to do trimming for this reason, you can try using Vaseline or a similar lubricant as a sealant to maintain watertightness, although it is not guaranteed to be effective.
