Sweet Backpack!
Update after a few trips to the range:So far so good! Fits everything I needed and more and so easy to carry around. It's great to quickly see if I brought the guns I wanted before heading out and access them quickly while shooting. One tip when storing the guns in the slots: Try placing them upside down and they won't shift around as much when the backpack is upright. Also found that it keeps the longer pistols from sliding forward out of the slot.Initial review:So far, the backpack is very cool and does everything as described. It's really nice to have the ability to store 4-6 guns (4 full size and a couple subpacts) conveniently into the pack with room for all other range equipment. I do wish the foam gun holder was tighter to keep them from moving around but it offers adequate protection and is extremely convenient not having to put each gun into separate holsters or dig through the pack to access each one. The side pockets will fit a least 12 pistol mags with room for tools and small paper targets. The top compartment easily holds earmuffs boxes of ammo or if desired, a couple small pistols. When fully loaded up, the backpack is comfortable to wear without feeling much of the weight, hopefully the stitching holds up but only time and use will tell. Based on other reviews, I will avoid picking up the pack by the top handle but otherwise, the material and construction appears of good quality for the price point. I'm definitely happy with the purchase and can't wait to test it out in the field.Pros so far:- allows for more effective organization and access of at least 4 pistols from the main storage compartment. Longest barrel length that will fit is probably 5-6 inches, may not be flush but compartment will close just fine.- enough overall storage for at least 12 pistol mags, rifle mags, misc range equip, targets, cleaning supplies, and if desired, two additional small pistols.- quality of pack and zippers appears solid- comfortable to wear even when fully loaded up- good clean look- molle straps for additonal storageCons: so far these are nitpicking as I have not had a chance to test durability or functionality- space between each foam slots for each pistol seems too loose and could be tighter- foam rack material appears a bit cheap and easily damaged or torn up.

Fantastic backpack! Literally store and carry everything but shotguns and rifles!
This is a great backpack! It's everything you could want from a range bag or even a means of firearm storage. The four gun compartment in the front is awesome. It easily handled my Kimber 1911, S&W 1911, both with 4 inch barrels. My Remington 1911 R1, which has a 5 and a half inch barrel, fit nicely without any adjustments, as well. Being the precocious little scamp that i am, I grabbed my Desert Eagle .357 Magnum, which boasts a 6 inch barrel and is just an all-around beast, and gently (at first) slid it in the 4th slot. Only with a little bit of force did i manage to fit it in and was able to zip the compartment up with very little coaxing. My point is: this thing is pretty damn versatile! Just the vast amount of magazine clip pockets inside and shotgun shell loops on the outside, is a fantastic feature in itself, but it gets better! You wouldn't expect all the room there is in this thing by looking at it. I was even able to fit my twin S&W 686 7 chamber custom cylinder revolvers, still in the double shoulder holsters, in the surprisingly spacious top compartment and my HK40 P30 in one of the side pockets with room for a couple extra clips in with it! Even after all that and more, given the weight I've just loaded in, the straps are still comfortable and durable. Summary: Get. This. Backpack. Totally worth it in every way and at every angle. After loading all that and trying it out, I instantly gave my old bag to my brother because i knew i wouldn't be needing it anymore haha. Spoiler alert: there's even more awesome features than I've mentioned here, I'll let you find out when you purchase this badass backpack. Do it. lol

Great Bag
I bought this bag recently and have already fallen in love with it. It has ample storage, seems to be quality built, wears comfortably, etc.Regarding the depth of the gun storage area: I have a Walther PPQ M2 Navy 9mm (the 'Navy' denotes a threaded barrel). The barrel length is 4.6", and the overall length is 7.8". With no foam in the back of the slot, the handle of my PPQ still sticks out about a half an inch. It doesnt create any sort of issue with closing the compartment, and there's no apparent bulge in the cover once it's closed, but it's just not flush (for some reason, I've apparently just arbitrarily decided I thought it should be flush). My only piece of negative feedback is with the shoulder strap adjustment. Typically, most backpack straps are rolled/stitched at the ends so that they cannot come out through the strap adjustment piece. On this particular bag, those straps are not rolled/stitched/etc to prevent this, and I've had the straps come loose twice while messing with the size adjustment. This'll likely be a fairly easy fix; I still need to test this out, but if those straps are like any other rope/strap I've interacted with in the last several years, they'll begin to melt when exposed to heat. My thought is to roll the ends, stitch them with some sort of high durability thread, then use something like a hair flatiron to help the rolled/stitched portion meld together a little better. All in all, I'm a huge fan of this bag. I've had it for a week and have already used it twice, and one of those involved very light hiking to our lanes (about 150 yards); I was very happy to have my bag on my back, as opposed to hand carrying it like those other jokers I was with.
