Awesome!
Used to make wood burnt signs. Perfect for what we made. There's a fine line between oversaturated and just right for when you go to burn the wood. Helpful tip: make sure the wood you use is dry enough so when you heat up the wood it doesn't draw the moisture out and ruin your project.

Fun and unique
I was slightly sceptical when it came to my initial idea ,and whether or not these pens could cope with it. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with the end result. The instructions state to sand to AT LEAST 220 grit, however, as I was aiming for a more 'rustic' finish, I opted to just blast the reclaimed timber with 40 grit.It took 1.5 pens to cover the entire area (purchased a 3 pack). The stencils used were 6 inch. So, a decent area was covered.Overall, very happy with the purchase. If I had to pick one thing to improve upon, it would be the colour of the solution. You can see in the image that I had a minor spill when the cap popped off, and it left a fairly noticeable purple mark. Perhaps a more subtle colour, or a small pen for a "removal" solution could be beneficial.

Easy to use!
I like the control these pens give, and how easy they are to use. I use them for crafts and just use my heat gun to burn them.

Can't make it dark enough
I used these pens on pine, heating with a heat gun. I just couldn't get a good dark image. I tried using just a little bit of "ink," and a lot. I tried heating it right away and letting it dry and then applying heat. I've used a heat gun, but nearly had to scorch the wood to get the image to darken. I've tried a flat woodburning tip, placing a piece of paper between it and the wood, and it, predictably, scorched the wood, but still had a faint image. I tried using a Cricut heat press, and still had a faint image. If you're okay with a light image, then these will work fine for you. They're just not good enough, especially for the money, for me.EDIT: The company reached out to me after my review and offered me a full refund. While I still stand by my review, I really appreciate them standing behind their product and doing this. It makes me wiling to try other products they make.

Not skeptical anymore - love them!
The media could not be loaded. I was skeptical that the markers would work, but I gave it a shot with a class of high-schoolers. The students found them easy to use. We did have to be mindful not to put too much ink on the wood disk or they would bleed a little. (But that is a wood issue, IMO).The Christmas ornaments came out great! The students created these all on their own. Very little adult supervision was needed (mostly to remind them to be careful with heat gun). Now I am addicted!! I will be creating a lot of items!!
