Functional, looks tidy
Functional, easily put together. Care to be take putting it together, too much pressure and wood will split.Gave it a coat of preservative as a belt and braces approach… let’s see how it is this time next year.

Sturdy and weather proof
Very easy to assemble on your own. When all the shelves around it is quite heavy, so try and build it as near to where it’s going. You can fit in an awful lot of plants and seedlings. It does the job really well, my plants are very happy in it even when the weather outside is atrocious

What I expected…
This unit was very easy to assemble, took me around 15 minutes. Although no screw holes in any of the frames, so just don’t wang any old screw in, predrill to stop the flimsy wood from splitting and you will be fine. It’s far too expensive for what it is, it’s basically rough cut balsa wood with flimsy polycarbonate panels. Don’t expect too much from it. It’s sad really that these things are able to be sold at such a price as it’s not worth the money it’s being sold for.Anyway, moving on. Once assembled, the doors don’t really line up, so I’m going to address that. But it has 3 shelves with 4 independent doors. It will do me for a winter and allow me to continue to grow over winter, but next year, it will most likely end up as expensive kindling.

Update: Poor quality materials, design and manufacturing
Update: I’ve gone from 2-stars to 1-star as the greenhouse didn’t even last one season, let alone through to winter. The wing nut severed, and therefore the lid got caught in a breeze and was ripped off beyond repair.Original review; I recently moved house, and regret not bringing my old small patio greenhouse, as this GBS greenhouse is of very poor quality. For a start, it is made from flimsy balsa-type wood, with a couple of pieces having significant cracks and splits in them. SOme of the fittings already had signs of rust before I had even taken them out of the packet. There were no predrilled holes for all the screws. The two front doors didn't fully meet when closed leaving a substantial gap. There are a few minor positives, hence not just a 1-star rating. First, the instructions are clear, second, I was able to put this together myself (no need for a second person), and third, it will probably last this one winter. However, at £79.99 (at the time of review in September 2021) this is just £10 off the price I paid for my other very similar patio greenhouse which was made with quality pine with predrilled holes and had a baton that ran the length of the two front doors which acted as a draft excluder. I suggest you look at what other greenhouses Amazon have to offer before committing to this one.

Flimsy
Quick delivery and well packaged, wood looks treated, but quite flimsy though expected that. Holes not pre drilled which makes it difficult to drill without splitting the wood. The catch that holds the doors together is missing .took about an hour to assemble from flat packed. None of the doors fit together as in the pictures. My husband is handy and will be able to fit wood to fill the gaps and strengthen, also fit a catch. If I were alone I would have had to sent back. Not value for money.

Good but read the reviews
I knew what I was getting when I bought this and I had done my homework and researched well before deciding, reading a lot of reviews on the way. It is not the most sturdy of constructions but where I am putting it is under a porch and well protected from the elements and was therefore not too big a concern. Like other people who reviewed it I have painted it a dark grey as it is on show and I wanted it to match windows doors etc. BUT if you want to do this (and I would recommend it as it's a pretty bright orangey/brown colour and not well protected) it is not a two minute job and it's not easy as you cannot remove the acetate glazing but certainly well worth it. For me it is about a bit of overwintering, bringing on seeds in spring and a couple of tomato plants in the summer, all in all really useful and very comparable to a lot of others of similar and higher price, so good value.
