This compact Roland TD-07KVX V-DRUM Kit arrived in one big heavy box. I was able to slide across the floor with no trouble. Everything came professionally packed with no damage. I had just sold my 1999 TD-10 Kit which was huge and took up too much space in my studio room. It took me about 4 hours to unpack everything, READ the instructions and assemble the kit. It's very important to Read and follow the included instructions which has very small print. It's important to correctly balance the frame otherwise the kit will fall over. Once set up correctly and powered up, I was immediately impressed with the quality and amazing sound of the this V-Drum kit. I love it. I've been playing drums well over fifty years and do my own song writing and recording projects. The V-Drums are a highly useful tool to rehearse and write with. I found it a complete joy to play the drum parts on this new kit from my newly released CD on Spotify. I had no issues with this kit. It does not come with the two leg HH stand. The TD-07 Drum Module comes equipped with a ten input cable harness going out to the drums and cymbals. The HH uses two inputs and the ride cymbal uses two imputs. There are no additional cables on the harness to add a double bass drum or additional devices. I really would have like to add a second bass pedal for double bass. I'm going to look into it further to see if there is an add-on expansion module for more input channels. I am very satisfied with this kit as it is and recommend it to anyone wanting a powerful diverse standard electronic kit that is compact with a small footprint.

This is a great electronic drum kit, just be wary that it does not come with the stand, hh stand and bass pedal. You have to probably get those separately. Adorama website has some great selections...

The kit may be amazing but I wouldn’t know since it was missing a critical piece…. The drum rack that holds everything. Nothing like getting to Christmas Eve to learn it was missing. Sent us into scramble mode. Absolutely unacceptable. I have zero doubts the Roland kit is great. Logistic or shipping issue. Make sure you get 2 boxes with this product. The drum rack comes in a separate box. Disappointed to say the least…..

I'll admit, it took about 2 hours to get it fully assembled, wired up and ready to go. But, once you put on your headphones or turn on your amp. Oh, boy. I was drenched in sweat after banging away for over an hour because I simply did not want to stop.I easily connected my iPhone to the TD-07 module and was playing along to Rush, Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin. I sucked, but I honestly did not want to say, "Time to turn it off and call it a night." because it's just that gratifying.The interface for changing the sound of the snare, toms, kick drum and cymbals couldn't be easier. Push the button, hit the "Enter" button and hit the instrument you want to change. The module has many, many built-in snare types and sizes (10" beech, 16" maple, shallow 13", etc.), cymbals (heavy crash, China, splash, cowbell and on and on) from which to choose.But, wait. There's more! You can stay with your snare-tweaking mission and tune its pitch higher or lower, increase the muffler so that it doesn't sound like a marching band snare, turn down its volume individually, change the balance just like you would on a set of speakers from far left and move it more towards the center or more towards the right as if you had mics all set up.You WILL need your own hi-hat stand, throne and kick drum pedal. Get a Roland TD-07 KVX kit, a decent throne (DW Drum Workshop 3000 Series) , hi-hat stand (Gibraltar 5707 will do just fine) and kick pedal (Tama's "Iron Cobra 200"), a few pairs of Vic Firth "5A" drum sticks and you can cancel that gym membership you never use!!

I first ordered TD-07KV Electronic V-Drums Kit and received ONLY the stand ....nothing else!!! (Packaged it up and prepared to return it for refund), then ordered Roland TD-07KVX Electronic V-Drums Kit and this time I received JUST the drums, cymbals and module...NO STAND!!!Up date, ordered TD-07KVX Electronic V-Drums Kit one more time AND again got only the drums, NO STAND!!! Third time incomplete order....

My Step son is learning to play drums and I've been playing guitar for about 7 years. I purchased this kit so we could practice once or twice a week and develop our skills. Very nice set but the kick drum can be a slight problem requiring calibration now and then, but that's fairly common with sets in this price range. Overall very happy with this purchase and we're having a lot of fun.

Same as others wrote here. The Amazon tracking information has the status as “Delivered” but I only have a box with the pads and the controller. Hopefully the stand shows up in a few days and I can edit this review. Until then, Roland customer support cannot be reached over the phone (menu options won’t connect you to a human, just redirect you to their website). I’ll email there and see if I get anything back. This is confusing at best, and misleading at worst, as the product description from the manufacturer do imply a “four post drum rack stand with metal construction…” is included. There is a clear caveat for the lack of throne, hi-hat stand, and kick pedal… but nothing suggests that a stand for the pads and module themselves is not included.
