Yakima Halfback Trunk Mount Bike Rack

We got this for my son and it works great on his Ford Focus. He has used it several times and is very happy with the durability.

This is a very sturdy rack, and it was easy to install on my Mini Countryman. The printed instructions were slightly confusing, but I figured the straps out and had it in place in less than 15 minutes. Folded down when it isn't attached to my car, I can store it in my itty-bitty trunk.It was very easy to load my bike onto the rack, although once in place it isn't remotely secure from theft, which is why I left off a star. Yakima's security strap, which you have to purchase separately, doesn't work with this rack if you have a hatchback or wagon - it's WAY too short.Overall, though, I'm happy. I drove on the interstate for about 3 hours at speeds up to 80 mph, and it didn't budge.

Easy to mount and dismount, set the position with the top straps, only slack / tighten the top straps to mount or remove.Really simple and secure for mounting bikes, so much quicker than taking a wheel off to stuff it in a car.Fits a Honda Fit! Spend more time riding and less time faffing with gear.

Yes it will fit but be sure to install it correctly and perfectly. You can end up with dents on your rear bumper. If anything go with the hitch mount if you are having trouble deciding. It’s a good rack but it will be a matter of time before you hit a bump in the road and get some dents. Just want to pass that on, no knock on this product just a heads up.

We've used the Yakima twice and it's a huge improvement over our older bike rack it replaced! It's sturdy and could handle any size and weight of bikes.
