As a learning specialist, educational psychologist, and education administrator, I often work with children with different reading challenges or guide teachers in helping them in the classroom. I developed a 'reading window' on my own years ago, where I cut out a window the size of a line to be read (whatever size the font is) so that the reader sees only one line at a time and not the bouncing letters from different lines, which distract and confuse. Many students loved their reading window and were finally able to filter out confusion and focus only on one line at a time. I had read years ago that different colours in a translucent form seem to help some readers, but coloured cellopaper did not work well with my home-made reading windows. These are ready-made. Although they do not fit every type of line, they work for most, and different children find different colours better for them--some yellow, some pink, some blue, etc. so I keep a few on hand to try out which helps the best. The children like that these can be used as bookmarks, as well, so that they have their coloured windows ready.

I ordered this reading guide for my 7 year old son who has a hard time staying on the line he is suppose to be on. SO i thought we would try this reading guide to see if it helped and it did. It makes it were he can only see one line and the line he can see is a different bright color because od the yellow and it help keep his eyes where they need to be. It makes homework so much easier for him.

Helped my kid that has reading issues. The narrow window allows the reader to focus more on what they are reading. The full size colored sheets are better for older readers. Overall a helpful product!

These are great reading strips. I bought three to make sure the school had one to help my child with vision issues.

I like it. But very flimsy

Just the thing for making it easier to follow a complicated knitting pattern. Just needed to make a slight alteration (cut down one side of yellow strip so I could slot onto pattern and move down as required)

Item is what I was looking for however the cost states "(CDN$ 3.30 (CDN$ 0.33 / EA) FREE SHIPPING", which lead me to believe I was purchasing a pack of 10. When the item arrived, there is only 1 in the pack. I waited a little longer for this item and now have to reorder as there were not enough to meet my needs. I wish this was clearer in the description as this was misleading.
