Could not connect
Bought 16 units and donated them to a school t start a drone pilot simulator program, before allowing kids t fly a real drone.Cannot find any simulator programs that are compatible allowing controllers to work properly. Very disappointed.

Almost there
I wanted to love this controller, and I nearly did. Since I got it, I've used it every single day, flying, learning. I use it on the computers with the simulators, and out in the field. I've put a lot of hours on it so far.For the price it's a very attractive controller, and one of the cheapest options out there. I was a little hesitant at first going for the video game controller style, but was very pleasantly surprised when I actually got it. One of my biggest hesitation was with how it'd feel. Past experience has shown cheap game controllers to be pretty cheap feeling. Because this was so cheap compared to other options, would it feel as cheap too?I was surprised at how it felt when I picked it up for the first time. The plastic has a nice smooth but soft feel to it that is very comfortable. The grip/textured portion feels really nice because of this too. Like you feel the grip, but it's still soft. The game controller style proved no different than using a regular R/C styled controller. The sticks and everything felt nice enough. It's not without it's issues though. And the biggest issues is those sticks, or something, something going on with this thing. I've gotten in the habit of rotating the sticks fully anytime I start it up, or change batteries in my drone. Those sticks just seem like they want to fail after awhile and it is maddening. If you search up about this controller, you'll come across people having issues with the sticks. It started happening with me. There was noise in the input, a jitter. I started feeling it especially on the left stick. Turning wasn't smooth, and I'd get weird jumps in the throttle. It wasn't consistent though. I wasn't sure what made it happen, or why it happened. I knew it wasn't just the drone, because it happened in the simulators too.I had a ton of problems with the throttle. It wouldn't go all the way down to 0. So I'd have troubles arming my quad. One day it was way off, and out of a 0-100, it'd only go down to 25. My mind was blown. I was playing a simulator when it happened, and plugged the betafpv configuration software in to see what it said about the raw inputs, and yeah. Throttle would not go all the way down, and you could see the jitter.I realized, and I'm not sure how, but if you rotate the sticks fully, it like calibrates them or something, and fixes the ranges so they aren't all messed up. It's like with prolonged use without doing this, will cause it to slowly loose accuracy and noise will start to get introduced. And yeah, so as long as I keep doing a full rotation of the sticks before I fly, it seems fine. Because of that issue though, once I get some money I'm going to replace this controller. It's a decent controller, but because of that it makes it difficult for me to recommend this controller to others. If all you're doing is simulators and mini quads, then maybe. If you're flying anything large enough it can hurt someone though, stay away. This is my first venture flying FPV drones, but I've flown planes and helicopters before. In particular, I think about helicopters and how dangerous they can be. I couldn't ever imagine trusting a controller like this, with something like that. This weird stick drifting out of accuracy issue I've only ever experienced on this controller. With controllers I've used in the past, I never saw that. So, I'm not sure. It's weird for sure.

ELRS frameware 2.0.1
If your controller was shipped with frameware 2.0.1 use BETAFPV Configurator V1.1.1-RC1 instead of BETAFPV Configurator V2.0.0-RC1.It worked for me.

Edit: BETAFPV REALLY worked with me to make sure I had a great product
EDIT: I was pretty mad when I initially wrote my review. HOWEVER Betafpv has REALLY reached out and wanted to make things right. I WOULD recommend this controller as a starter especially if your not sure you want to get into the hobby. When I initially bought this product I didn't know it was defective because I was brand new to the hobby. But a friend of mine had the exact same controller and his worked perfect. I wrote a nasty review because I had crashed my drones bunch of times and was frustrated. Also, I had tried to submit a complaint and the website was not working. Betafpv reached out to me to ask what was wrong. They really bent over backwards to get info and try to make this right. Their customer service is amazing!

Good looking and portable but..
I am a very experienced drone and RC pilot. Been doing it for 12+ yrs. My knowledge on drones are extensive and I did my research before I purchased. If you buy make sure you try at once if not you won't be able to return it. It wouldn't bind with anything. So now is a paperweight. But is ergonomic, has 4 switches and it supposed to be able to bind with a variety of receivers. Buy at your own discretion.
