This refill really does write smoother than the original. Width is hardly larger than original medium point. My new refill.

I had questions about the authenticity of the product, due to repackaging and having had some bad past experiences with Amazon products. The seller was quickly responsive and I am now confident that these are genuine Montverde product.The Montverde refills are not quite as good as the ones they had made two decades ago, but they are still performing well, and they may be the best option available now.Some users have complained that the line is not "super broad". The line is comparable to a regular medium tip in my estimation, but the large tip does provide a nice smoothness, so it is more about the feel of the pen.The color is good, being clearly blue but not TOO blue. The original Parker refill is also nice, but it is very blue... somewhat like a Quebec flag... and a bit too light for my taste.Overall, this product can be recommended.In contrast I bought original Cross brand refills (now made in China) from a different seller for a Cross pen, which I find to be terrible. These Montverde refills are certainly better, in my opinion.

Fair price, the ball size I like, Dark black color and even flow. Will purchase again when I need new refills.

This refill is very smooth, but I do not enjoy it as much as the gel refills. The gel is much darker and more consistent with no breaks in ink. For a non-gel ballpoint, this is a very good refill

If you're looking at the Monteverde {super broad / soft roll}, you're probably coming at this from the same angle as me: You don't want all that friction that you get with a fine or a medium ballpoint, but neither do you want the slippy-slideyness of a gel.If those are your parameters, the Monteverde *would* be perfect, except quality control at Monteverde is dicey. You can get a dud refill, one that writes for a couple days and then starts misbehaving. *My* dud still writes, but the ink is faint. It's that thing where it writes in two stripes...Monteverde fountain pens are the same deal. When they're good, they're tasty. But you get dud nibs and occasionally dud barrels... This is why I say "five stars with an asterisk."For comparison: Cross broad refill. The ball is not as big as the Monteverde, and the ink is thicker/gooey-er. The Monteverde has the softer "touch."For comparison: Lamy 2000 broad ballpoint. This seems to me pretty similar to the Monteverde, ’terms of "touch," but the ink isn't as dark.. . . So you see, in some ways the Monteverde is better than these two high-end competitors . . .Finally, a life hack. ALL these broad ballpoints are "helped" a lot by heavy pens. Took me a while to understand this. Parker Jotters, Cross Townsends, these are not heavy enough to deliver the proper broad ballpoint experience. You need some big heavy instrument with a bunch of metal on there. If you haven't tried this, try it and you'll see.

Unacceptable. Dried out. These refills don't write. Please make this right. I await your response. And I don't want to send these stupid ball point refills back. Who has time for such nonsense? Send me refills that write, like the Monteverde refills I bought several years ago. Is color the issue? I bought black ones before. These are blue. If only black refills write a solid, broad thick black swath of ink on the page, and never skip, then please send me black. The color doesn't matter. I just want refills that write reliably.

If you own a Parker pen (or any other compatible pen), do yourself a favor and buy these broad point refills. It will instantly turn your rather average pen into a smooth, buttery Cadillac that is an absolute joy to write with. The broad point does not noticeably increase the width of the penstroke (as it does in pencils or fountain pens, for example). With ballpoints, the writing looks much the same with a broad point as with a regular point. But the feeling is distinctly different. Heavenly. Delicious. Certainly worth a few dollars. Trust me, just try it. You'll never go back.I used this refill in two slightly different models of the Parker Jotter pen (a basic retractable ballpoint) and they worked beautifully.I love that Amazon stocks these, as they're difficult to find at a brick-and-mortar shop, even a specialty store.

These we're just as described. I enjoyed the smooth gel ink motion and the Bold dark lines that these cartridges produce. I wish they came in more colors. But I will live with classic black for the rest of my life and be happy if that's all I can get.

Schon seit einigen Jahren nutze ich diese Mine als Ersatz der Originalmine meines Kugelschreibers. Super-Breit, ja, und ein sehr flüssiges Schreibvergnügen. Kein Kratzen auf dem Papier, breiter Tintenauftrag, dokumentenecht. Breit ist nicht so wie ein Edding zu verstehen. Eben etwas breiter als die oftmals sehr feinen Ursprungsminen in gebräuchlichen Schreibutensilien.Sind nicht günstig, aber für mich den Preis wert!

Tout a fait ce que je cherchais, ecriture fluide, qui ne "gratte" pas, et trait large. Excellent

I've been hunting for this type of Super Broad refill everywhere and relieved to finally get my hands on it after searching on Amazon. Writes smoothly as you'd expect

Just spent one, will be ordering another one right away (using second one as there are two in a package), I love to have wide lines, soft ball, rich fullness and it is it! I used it for my Parker Pen refill and would not look any further, tried Parker own, and some gel ones - no comparison, this is best one!
