M42 HSS Hole Saw Set, Ankoow 9Pcs 16-38mm Heavy Duty Hole Saw Tooth Cutting Opener Drill Bit for Wood Aluminum Iron Sheet Pipe Plastic

I bought these not knowing what to expect. I just used one of them to drill through some 3/8" metal and it worked great. It was small 5/8" basically diameter but it worked great. I did use some oil to help keep the heat down and the little spring fell out during the process but no big deal. Not sure when I will need to use these again I don't drill alot of metal so if these can go through what I just drilled I am sure they will go through wood no problem. It is kind of hard to see in this picture but there are 2 plates here that are both 3/8" think. I drilled the first hole with conventional drill bit not the hole saw drill bit. Once I set the first plate on top I found the closest hole saw that fit the diameter of the top hole and then just slowly drilled through the second plate..

Poor quality craftsmanship, for example some of the size markings were rubbed off when I received them. For the money though you can’t beat it and they seem to work good.

Product arrived on time and in good condition, these hole saws worked very well, what I really liked was that the drill arbors had "Springs" around them, this allowed the plugs to easily extract from the saw and the springs were removable to further clean the saw.Great product!

I bought this set to cut holes in my fiberglass boat, and they worked great for that. I needed a 1 1/2 hole in some plate...1/4 inch 304L stainless steel! I assumed it would destroy these hole saws but gave it a try. Using a battery drill and lots of WD 40 it blasted right through that plate....I was amazed! SS plate is hard on drills and hole saws. Use lots of light oil to keep things cool and cutting and these saws will give good service. When cutting hardwood or plastics cool with rubbing alcohol.

Pro:I purchased this set of hole saws because they were low priced, each had a center drill bit, the hole saw bells were deep, and I needed to make drainage holes in plastic bucket planters.Each bit came with its own allen wrench and was packaged in a clear, reusable, plastic bubble.I started each hole with a sharp pointed rod and a hammer.After I achieved a starting hole, I used the hole saw with my 3/8in 6A craftsman 110VAC drill.Cons/Warnings:Use a face shield and leather gloves for protection against sprayed particles.Before drilling, be sure the drill is rotating in a cutting direction. If it goes the other direction, the hole saw bell will screw off.There is a spring that is slightly tight on the center bit, but will both come off the bit and/or become threaded into the removed disk. It will be difficult to remove from the disk, but it can be freed if carefully done. The spring is useful.The hole saw worked with almost all of my plastic buckets (laundry and paint types). But it did not cut a hard, shiny white bucket, which might have been sold for restaurant use.The hole saw made absolutely no cutting on a terracotta planter.I suggest that it be ONLY used for soft wood and softish plastic.

I needed something that would cut a nice clean hole to fit a couple of large feed through terminals (1-1/4" holes). The 32mm did the job and did it well for a perfect fit. Nice clean hole with a couple of mall burrs (as can be expected with sheet metal; and that are easy to remove with a Dremel tool or sandpaper). The spring does a great job keeping the sawed hole from entering the hole saw and ejects it out when the hole is completed. I do wish the set came with an organizer box, but the savings mean I can go buy something to keep them organized. I really like that each hole saw has its own guide/drill bit, so there is no need to fumble with switching the drill bit to another hole saw when you have to drill a different hole size.

Cuts well - however it is harder than heck to get the plug out when used on hard woods - I did get minor burning with it on hard woods (purple/yellow heart and hard maple). This is a good set for the money. I'm using it to cut rings/jewelry and it is working good for this purpose. I have only used three. Inside and outside diameter of the rings I'm making.

I cutest on 1/8 garba nixed piece, cut very good, surprise me, For the price.
