Works well at home and on walks in th evening.
I like the dispenser (spray vs aerosol) which allows me to spray on my hands and spread it on my arms and neck when working outside or walking. It is effective against mosquitoes which otherwise attack in the evening while my wife is cooking outside or we are working in the yard. So far I have not tried it in areas with ticks.

Description not accurate
The placard on the back of the package had many warnings which were not listed in the description. I wanted something I could use indoors, but this cannot be used in enclosed spaces. The DEET is dangerous and must be used very carefully. You can't get it near your eves and can't handle food or even chew gum when using it. You must also wash your clothes after use. None of this was explained, so I returned it.
