Not worth 30$
I received my Budget Book yesterday, and while I like the overall layout of things, I don't think this product is worth 30$. If it was a hardcover book and if it came with two or three sticker sheets, I might say it was worth the price, but it's basically paperback with only one sticker sheet. I'll use it, but since I'm working on a bullet journal for next year that will have monthly budget sheets, I won't be ordering this product again unless the price significantly decreases.

Maybe You But Not For Me
The reason for my three stars is simple: I wish there were more blank spaces for me to write in my actual bills instead of the pre-printed labels they chose in the month at a glance section. I ended up crossing out a bunch of them and writing my own labels. Also, I want a way to write in expected cost and actual cost - you can draw your own line but it's very small area.I will use it for the rest of the year and then switch over to something new in 2019. It is a shame because it is almost exactly what I wanted - size, thickness, plenty of pages to write down my purchases, and the ability to decide which months I want to track.

Has a lot of potential
I have created my own budget books using 3 column accounting journals for years. This year I thought I would look at what is available "ready to go". This book came closest to what I need. I've only used it for half of one month, so these are early days. It is clearly geared for a younger audience, and I'd love to see a book that is for retired or senior citizens. I wish I had income, and I could be "saving" for something, but those days of building up resources are in the past. So I need more lines for health expenses (not just insurance premium and co-pay, but prescriptions, lab work, dentist, eye care, hearing). There is only one line for "streaming services". While I can add them all up and put them in as a lump sum, it helps me to grasp the full impact of that expense when I can see Netflix, Acorn, Amazon, HBO, YouTube TV, digital newspapers all spelled out. Then there are the software subscriptions like MS office, Adobe, identity theft. There's no line at all for garbage removal/recycling, or clothing. The stickers are fun, and the pocket inside the back cover is great. I think an elastic band to hold the whole thing closed would be nice, because the construction of the book (stitched and folded down the spine) tends to want to not lay flat. I see that as a property that will not improve with age.
