Knitter's Pride-Dreamz Tunisian Crochet Hook Set

Beautiful set. After researching and weighing my options, I selected the Knitters Pride Dreamz based I. Recommendations and review from TLYC on YouTube.I made a small swatch and like the ease and smoothness of the hooks. I hope this lasts me a lifetime. I have seen discussions the cables work on a metal hook set available from an independent source. That was another selling factor for me. You know… just in case bc I am an aluminum hook gal.This set fit my budget and hook length desired perfectly.Of course I grabbed all the extras including a separate 10mm and 12mm hook.I’m not even mad about the cheap plastic case it came in. I was aware and already planned for that.Great gift idea for your fiber friends.

In trying to learn the Tunisian chrchet stitches I discovered that the older crochet hooks are very long and really unbalanced. These from Knit-Picks are wonderful. The balance is almost the same as a regular crochet hook, the hooks are smooth with a decent point to get into stitches and they are pretty! I would recommend these abouve all others. The kit comes complete with 8 sizes of hooks, three lengths of cord and several stoppers, so your project won't slide off the hook.1

I've been using cheap bamboo and acrylic resin Tunisian crochet hooks to learn the craft. Some were long needles with some sort of stopper on the end, and some, instead of being long, had a flexible tube, permanently attached, with a stopper to hold the stitches of the forward pass. I wasn't expecting to notice such a difference in the use and storage of this set. The surface is the right amount of smooth for speed and matt to prevent slipping. They're also attractive and just feel good in my hand. I used the largest extention by itself and it was the perfect size for a throw. I did have an issue with the extention coming unscrewed one time. After learning that lesson, I just gave it an occasional tightening during use. It's easy to see when it's not fully tightened so it's just not a big deal. I didn't dock any stars for that because I think it's just a function of the way I slightly twist it during use and it would happen with any brand.The cheap bamboo ones can develop snags, and the ones with the permanently attached tubes are such a pain to store. I can't really imagine what more the more expensive sets could offer, and I highly recommend skipping the cheap sets and going directly to this set, whether you're experienced in Tunisian crochet or just wanting to give it a shot.

Hooks go smoothly thru stitches. Beautiful wood grain appearance. and coloring. I bought another case to keep the set in as the "case" it arrived in was clear plastic that seemed to be merely packing to ship it . Everything else great.

Finely-crafted needles. Easy to use. Handle well with all types of fibers. Comfortable feel and usable without causing hand-fatigue after hours of crocheting. Excellent value. Much prefer these to the set of aluminum 10”-ers I bought.

When I decided to upgrade my tunisian crochet hooks I did a lot of research before landing on this Knitter's Pride set. I was so excited to use them the first time! They were smooth and glided nicely through each stitch without any snags♡. However one of the sizes had a flaw where the chord wouldn't attach all the way which left a snagging rift. I reached out to Knitter's Pride and explained what was happening- and they responded right away and sent me a new hook. I am very pleased with my purchase and would definitely buy from this company again!

Arrive well on time from the States, and the quality is very good, would highly recommend.

I have many knitters pride needles and hooks. This is a great addition to my collection. I love this brand!

Got this set to try out Tunisian crochet. I like that the cords are compatible with all of Knitter's Pride other interchangeable sets. The hooks are comfortable to use, lightweight, and are in-line, which is the style I prefer. Now, these hooks are not beginner-friendly. They are have an extremely pointed hook head, along with an extremely long and sharp lip, which is a nightmare when working with splitty yarns. The throat is also really thin, and feels quite fragile, so I'd be hesitant to recommend for tight crocheters, but I've finished 3 projects using 3 different hook sizes and none of them have broken on me yet, so fingers crossed?
