It comes to put all the parts together, it took less than 2 minutes to do it. Very nice and I am enjoying. Thanks, I recomend it.

Q: Dimensions? height? size of the biggest and the smallest plate?

I know the picture may be a little confusing and don't get me wrong, I really like my tier cake plate however is quite small.The sizes are as follows: biggest plate: 20 cm diameter, medium plate: 16 cm diameter and smallest plate: 13 cm diameter. Total height with 3 plates from bottom to top: 24 cm.

Q: will French macarons fit nicely?

I think so but the item is very small. Check dimensions. For me was too small to display anything on it.
