For years, part of my job was a Police Firearms instructor, now retired, and as a result my hearing has greatly diminished, in order to clearly understand movies on my TV I had to adjust Netflix so I could read the dialog. A few years ago I purchased another brand of over the ear headphones, but they could not connect directly to the TV, I had to connect through my cable box, so I still could not enjoy Netflix and they were over the ear headphones which after a while got hot and uncomfortable.A few days ago I came across these Digital/Analog TV ears and decided to give them a try. Wow! First, the installation was extremely easy, took less than 5 minutes and it was working perfectly. I connected one end of the Digital cable to the Digital audio port of the box and the other end to the Digital port of the TV. Then I connected the power cord to the box and that's it. I was able to hear the TV and Netflix immediately. The headset is very light and the earbuds and width of the bands connecting the set to the ears are very adjustable. Once adjusted you can barely tell that you're wearing it.I've read other reviews that say the TV ears quit after a short time. I hope not, I really like these, but just in case, for $1.54 I also purchased the extended 2 year protection plan and will update my review if they fail. But, for now it's definitely 5 stars. Looking forward to hearing TV the way it's supposed to be. Very Happy. I recommend it.

I have used a TV Ears Digital system for several years. Aside from a miserable process of replacing the battery in the headset, it worked well. However, it finally gave out and I bought the new version of what I thought was the same thing. I have an ordinary television set with cable and DVR. I installed the new system the same way I did the previous one, but when I listened to it I heard a delay between the TV Ears signal to my head phones and sound from the television. It worked fine with the mute on, but my wife might object to the lack of sound. It was unusable. When I finally got through to a tech person (they aren't in their office on week ends), he suggested a work-around with my television, but my roughly seven years old Panasonic lacked the proper setting ability. He then asked if I had bought it from Amazon (yes) and intimated that the Amazon version was inferior to one that I could have bought directly from TV Ears!Also, every time I turn on the television I get electronic gibberish through the head phone. This is corrected by pulling the power source and re-attaching it or doing the same thing with the fiber optic cable from the television to the TV Ears device. I have no desire to go through that routine every time I want to watch television. Was this Amazon's fault also?This is not an inexpensive device and it ought to work after making a few simple connections with little fuss. I will return it.

I bought this product for my 91-year-old mother whose hearing aids were not helping her hear the TV, making her very frustrated. She had just about given up on watching TV, especially musical shows, but now she can use this without her hearing aids.I chose this particular brand because it's lightweight and easy to use. My mother would never have messed up her hair with a big, bulky headset. This is non-intrusive, lightweight and easy to slip off during commercials to join the conversation. It has 2 easy-to-access controls: volume and bass/treble. She is not tech-savvy at all but has not had a bit of trouble with them.The sound quality of the digital connection is excellent - I like to use them myself when she isn't using them because the sound is so much sharper than what the TV puts out. They can be used with the TV muted if she's watching alone or someone is in the room but not watching the TV.It is so easy to set up and I have even been moving them between her two TV's without any difficulty. I'm planning on getting her a second set.

No hearing problems. Product is great for listening to favorite programs at any time of day or night without disturbing others. Also, family members can listen to other televisions in the household at the same time without the sounds competing against each other. Setup took some experimentation before the unit worked properly, but once it did, the results were worth the effort.

I bought these for my Mumsie, who could never hear the TV unless it was loud enough for the whole block to hear it. She'd get depressed because she couldn't enjoy anything we were watching. We've had this pair for over a year and a half and they are fantastic! Best thing I ever could have bought for her. They are incredibly clear and volume control works wonderfully. I can control the TV volume, down to almost mute while she controls her own volume on the headset. (When I change tv volume, hers does not change). They are comfortable and do not bother her at all, whilst wearing (and she will wear them almost all day long). The battery charge lasts almost all day. I have the digital version and actually have it hooked up analog since their TV is older.I highly recommended this product. It seriously is life changing for your loved ones, who cannot hear well. Also is great for those of us that can hear well, but don't want anyone to hear the TV or disturb someone who is reading.I'm actually buying a second pair for her, since she sits up all night and eventually kills the battery. (Woman never sleeps).This is honestly a great product and I would buy it over and over again.

I returned the product because it would not charge. The other thing is, although we have a new TV the cables could not be used. On top of paying for the product, we would have to buy cables that were compatible with my TV. Our friends have TV ears and they love it.
