This is a good item but it should be a lot thicker - especially the straps.

I had to think about this one for a bit since I don't normally do impulse buys at this price range, HOWEVER - I am very much into Norse, Vikings, Barbarians. I am a certified D&D nerd, also 100% Norwegian and very much into history, role play, RPGs and all that goes with it, so when I saw this piece, it was one of those moments where I thought to myself - "just close your eyes and click add to cart!"Today I opened up the package and when that smell of leather hit my nostrils, oh man - all my doubts vanished in an instant. This was before I had even seen it. I proceeded to unwrap it, love the protective bag that came with it too, and I was very excited that I had pulled the trigger on this one.It's beautiful you guys!! I just really love this design. The piece is nice and solid too, I'm not sure if it'll stand up to an axe fight but hey - just dodge out of the way, will you?I love the straps, it makes it extremely versatile for any kind of sizes. It will probably fit up to a 2x, however I do believe that if you are extra "fluffy", you could still make this work with a buckle extender. The shoulder straps have plenty of room, and the chest piece also has a lot of room, it's just the belt that goes around waist on the back that might be an issue, but like I said - pretty sure a buckle extender would take care of it if you need more belt.So I'm female, I am of solid build (I said I was Norweigan, I'm built to survive in -40 lol) so I was curious on how this would fit me, and it does in fact fit really well. The only thing is there is a lot of room in the chest area (not usually problem I have with clothes...), however it's not at all uncomfortable, and it's something that can easily be fixed by adding some accessories - as I'm assuming most of us will be using this for a costume. I picture some feathers or furs or something in the neck area will fix that gap right up. Other than that, the fit is fabulous!!So if you can't already tell, yes I absolutely recommend this piece for anyone in your life, or yourself, that is into this kind of stuff - male or female.Now - I just have to be careful so I don't spill my mead on it.Cheers!!

My husband got so many compliments on this armor! It is not real leather, so the asking price was a little steep for what it is, but it looks great! My husband is slender, so we had to make many adjustments to make it fit properly. But he and I loved it so much!

This is a great quality product it's very sturdy almost a littler to stiff. But it will be great for my Halloween costume. It's not a cheap costume one time use piece if you do re enactments it will be great. It smells like real leather but on the back side it seems it's bonded to a foam material that no one will see while wearing it. I being 5'11 and 140lbs will have to add a few extra holes for adjustment. But there's already plenty for someone with a less slim build. For me the the shoulder/arm pit area could be narrower to allow more movement but I'm not sure I have the skills to do that. I'll leave it for now. The design on the front is great looks to be laser engraved not just a cheap decal or screen printed. Overall I'm very happy with this armor for this price.

After reading all the reviews and takinga chance I ordered this for my tours I am extremely disappointed in its look feel and design I will not recommend this to anyone who does reenactments or tours or who is over six foot.
