I didn't tighten the screw tight enough to get a solid hold on first try but once I got it down. Bam its awsome! Had to use pliers to get the extra one turn. -- Now this is snug as a bug. Works great and I appreciate having access to the usb on the front of the screen!If you're on the fence, don't be this is a MUST HAVE, looks good, works well and matches perfect to my blurry eyes.My only question is why didn't Apple think of this?

I just replaced my old 27" iMac with the new 2017 model and while looking for accessories, this Catch USB port caught my eye. I had problems in the past with trying to line up my charging cables to the USB ports on the back of the iMac but those days are gone. This was so easy to install and the ports are working great. It matches the iMac profile so doesn't take away from the iMac appearance. Really glad got this - no more trying to figure out which port is the USB and then trying to plug in without scratching the machine. Funny how something so simple can make a difference.

Had a strange experience where the card readers would not work no matter what I tried, until they just started working. I've updated my score and review now.Cons:The clamp could be a bit better (but it's a pretty ingenious mounting solution), and the finish (silver) could match the iMac's aluminum color and texture a little more.Costs considerably more than the average card reader and hub.Pros:Three USB ports and two card slots that you can actually reach and use, and relativly speedy performance.In my view, the pros make up for the shortcomings. There are no performance benefits to using a run-of-the-mill card reader/hub that would cost half as much, but there are aesthetic benefits.If value was your #1 factor in computing, you probably wouldn't be using a mac.

Perfect fit for a 2013 IMac, works like it should.

Still can't get the damn thing to attach and stay put. I really needed this item and I like the sleek look but there are no good directions with it and I can't for the life of me get the back screw to work so that it tightens on to the iMac body and stays put. When I go to plug something into it it is really loose and sometimes falls out

This is one of the better ideas for iMac accessories that I have seen! It took a bit to get the thumb screw to tighten enough for the hub to stay engaged in the vent, but once I got that this thing is rock solid! I now can have a card reader right up front, which is of extreme importance to me personally. The extra USB ports are nice and I really like that they included a micro SD slot as well. The color and material of the hub is very close to the second as the iMac body, so much so that it's hard fore to tell the difference. Overall I'd say if you want convenient ports for your iMac then this accessory is a must!

The SD slot failed to read 2 different SD cards. To make sure it was not reading I inserted both SD cards in the back of my IMAC which read them flawlessly. Also, before I discovered the reader not working, the item keep coming loose from the IMAC after having used the USB ports several times. The screw clamp fails to securely fasten the hub and repeated use loosens it and causes it to drop from the IMAC.

OK - I installed this thing on a 27" Retina iMac and it is awesome. Works perfectly - super clean install and cleared all the stupid peripherals off my desk. Truly superb design. If you're looking to get USB stuff off your desk and for front access to ports, I can't imagine a better solution.
