This is my 3rd P.F.; no 4, "Hourglass" is due tomorrow. All have been 5 stars so far., I'll skip the usually lengthy prose and do a checklist.1. It's a hefty one, but very good ergos inhand.2. Strong blade, sharp and centered perfectly.3. Excellent fit, finish and Q.C4. Beautiful uniform stone wash.5. Deploys very snappy, good closure/detent.6. Strong 20% lockup.7. Standard but decent clip.8. No warm or hot spots.9. Polished milled steel liners.10. Hardware snug.11 Nice jumping, just enough texture and ,length..12 The G10 sculpting, texture and inlays areflawless.I've many edc's in my collection, some costing a whole bunch more than these P.F.s but I'm hooked. They will do what I ask of them. They're well designed, precisely built and quality inspected. Maybe they lack the most exotic "in vogue" steels , actions and scales but they're a tool.They're budget knives in name only, their quality speaks volumes for the general buyer.on a budget. Highly recommend. You could get six P.F.s for the cost of one top brand name.

I had never heard of this knife company until recently. I'm glad I found them. This knife quickly became my edc. It came extremely sharp and has held that edge. It opens easily, positively, and smoothly. The liner lock, locks and unlocks without a huge effort. It feels very solid and has a smooth pocket clip.Looks great too.

Look again at the price......they are low balling their own selves hereI work at a major southeastern grocery chain where shopping is a pleasure.This knife is in &out of my pocket 200+ times a day, 5 days a week and hasn't failed me once. It's larger than my usual routine carry pieces but it's not unbearable.Rather light considering it's blade length and material.Pocket clip is stellar!Lockbar action and release is so incredibly liquid smooth. I mean it is my favorite lockbar knife out of likely 40+ now.D2 has some markings from exposure to chemicals used to clean my work area but c'est la vie. It's still wildly sharp.*UPDATE* :::: Bought another one, the all black CF. Got it "used". Well insure can't tell. Razor sharp, perfectly aligned. Detents are exactly like the new one purchased prior. I mean this QC is stellar in terms of overseas knives. I'm now at 4 out of 4 perfect PF knives. Two used, two new, cannot tell a difference.

This is my first Petrified Fish knife. I've bought at least 15 other Chinese knives in the last couple months. Ganzo, Sitivien, QSP, CJRB, and Adimanti. All have been very good quality!What's there to say about this knife? Fit and finish is perfect. Lockup is perfect. Centering is perfect. Blade drop is perfect. Fits in my hand perfect. Balance is perfect. And the flipper is the best I've experienced. It's perfect right out of the box. No break in or tuning necessary!I got the black G10 with the CF insert and it is absolutely beautiful. Better than I even expected. I don't like the look of the colored inserts but this CF is amazing.The knife is on the bigger side and weighs 5.8 ounces. I was wanting to add a bigger knife to my collection and this is perfect.I have a Spyderco PM3 with fit and finish problems, terrible blade centering, and terrible balance. If it can sell for $150, then this knife should easily be $200. I have a Swiss made Victorinox with the same issues. Absolutely crazy this knife costs $35.I will not be buying anymore overpriced American or European made knives. I've always tried to support our American manufacturers but when it comes to these folding knives, China is going to put the American knife manufacturers out of business. The price vs. quality is just off the charts. Come on Spyderco, Benchmade, and others...up your game!Great job Petrified Fish. Keep up the good work!Edit: Oh, and I REALLY like the fact that Petrified Fish kept the writing on the blade to a minimum. It says "D2" on one side of the flipper tab and "838" on the other side. Small, discreet, and to a minimum. Love it.

This is a very good knife with a nice edge. It has a pretty decent edge retention after using it for a prolonged period of time. When it did start getting dull it was easily bright back. Maybe a touch big for an every day pocket carry but still for the cost it can't be beat

Great edc knife if you prefer on the large side. Well built, functional and looks great. Came sharp. I’m very pleased.

Knife out of package was very beautiful! But, it was super heavy and even so much that it pulls your pocket down sagging it . Very big and bulky if your into big knives. Mine had an issue with liner lock and I had to return.
