Burt's Bees Skin Nourishment Day Lotion with SPF 15 for Normal to Combination Skin, 2 Oz (Package May Vary)

I purchased this based on Skincare by Hyram's recommendation. I have normal to combo skin, and some days are more oily or dry than others. The Skin Nourishment Day Lotion with SPF 15 is a great product for the normal and oily days (usually mornings). However, I have found that it's not quite as moisturizing when my skin is drier. I like to use the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream on my drier days (usually nights). It's also gentle enough to use on more sensitive areas after I shave. The Skin Nourishment Gentle Foaming Cleanser is a great product for my normal to combo skin. It isn't drying and works well with both moisturizers. When I first received the product, the smell was a little much for me (I think it's the royal jelly). However, I have gotten used to the scent and don't really notice it anymore.

I was nervous to try the day loition because of all the bad reviews about the smell and making your skin look pale but I’m so glad I gave it a chance. I’ve been using it for about a month now and my skin looks so vibrant and feels so incredibly soft. I was worried the sunscreen in it would make my skin oily and break out but it doesn’t! Now it does smell like a dirty wet dish cloth and I think that’s the royal jelly in it. The smell goes away though as soon as you rub it in. It does make me ever so slightly paler but I think it makes my skin look like it’s glowing because of it. And where can you find this product anywhere cheaper? Nowhere. So give it a try!

Doesn’t fully absorb into skin, lays white. Eventually soaks in but it takes time.

I was very annoyed when Burt’s got rid of the royal jelly line. Why must companies constantly changed their products?! This is the lotion I’ve been using for several months now. Not very happy with it overall. It leaves a white tint to my skin. It is oily, so my face gets shiny, even worse in the Summer time when it’s humid. It moisturizes ok, but I wish the application was more of a matte finish. It smells odd too - like an earthy smell. I’m just not pleased with this lotion.

I love Burt's Bee's products and was in the market for a new facial moisturizer with some SPF in it. I read several reviews and was a little worried about purchasing this item after seeing so many people question the authenticity, and some stated that it had a bad smell to it and it felt like chalk. Well mine arrived last night and I was excited to try it, but about gagged when I opened the bottle, the chemical smell is HORRIBLE! I figured if it's a good moisturizer maybe I can overlook the smell. I used the pump and the moisturizer came out very runny, I shook the bottle to see if some had just settled and hoped it would thicken up. It did not. I applied it to my face and it felt like chalk like other reviewers mentioned. I couldn't even stand to have this on my face for a full five minutes before I had to wash it off, I only hope that it doesn't cause me to break out. Be warned, the price really is too good to be true and you are probably not receiving genuine Burt's Bee's products!!!

There is an unpleasant smell and it is really white when applied and rubbed in. I'm pretty pale, so when I say white I mean it. ha ha

It does sometimes leave a slight white film on my face...and if it does I just keep rubbing it in/spreading it around until it goes away. I have very sensitive skin that is prone to acne breakouts and this product doesn't bother me. There is no strong fragrance or perfume smell, which I am also sensitive to. It's nice to have a daily moisturizer with built in sun screen, especially for the summer months. I wish I had been using this product when I was younger, maybe I could have avoided some of the age spots that are coming out now due to sun damage.

This is the best face lotion I have tried. It's light weight, thinner than most face lotions, and only a little goes a long way. It does have a scent to it and its a little running but I don't mind either one. I like that the scent isn't too strong or overbearing, it's just a very blend smell. I have dry combination skin, I'm also sensitive and I do breakout occasionally. This face lotion is the best for skin!
