Hardy quick meal
Always enjoy these quick meal out of the can. Doesn't need to be refrigerated and for emergency hunger it's perfect. Flavor and taste is perfect for me. For some it might a too salty. Have enough meat per can to satisfy my craving for the moment.

Not for the spice-adverse!
This soup is very filling and satisfying - - Chunky's advertising slogan "The soup that eats like a meal," whilst grammatically questionable (The soup doesn't eat! YOU eat the soup!), is factually sound. However, none of the reviews here are discussing the Chicken & Sausage Gumbo soup's dominant characteristic, which is its HEAT.This variety of Chunky soup is SPICY! I wasn't prepared for how spicy it was going to be, and I wish I'd known, as I'm unfortunately a seasoning wimp. I choose one star for all Asian restaurant dishes...two modest shakes of the crushed red pepper on my pizza is a wild ride...and I rarely ever finish a whole Altoid before my mouth goes into minty seizures and I have to spit out the lozenge fragment and save it for later.Soooo, the heat level in the sausage disks that are part of this soup is several notches past my comfort zone. The other ingredients are fine -- not too spicy -- but it's the sausages that are throwing a little Caliente party. I realize that I could have just separated them out and not eaten them, but they were the exciting and exotic feature that made me want to try this Chunky in the first place (Sausage!?! In soup?? What??), so I didn't want to waste them. They did send me running for the Kleenex box quite a few times before the bowl was empty, though.This soup, in my estimation, is great in all other ways. If Chunky made a milder version for us tender-tongues, I'd absolutely stock up.Now you know!
