I read the other reviews before placing this order, and so was a little unsure. But these sausages were amazing! I am not a chef but I have a professional kitchen and care a lot about quality and taste. They arrived frozen, as expected, and they cooked up nicely and were so full of flavor. Admittedly, I am not very price conscious but for me, they were really were worth it, and added a lot to the cassoulet I was making. In fact, I liked the flavor so much, I cooked the mirepoix in the pan after cooking the sausages to get all the flavor and bits of meat.

Perfect for a authentic french cassoulet!Still a little pricy, but worth it if you don't cook it too often.

I know we all want to make a cassoulet that is close to the truth, but these sausages are not worth the price. They are nothing special. They are good, but not worth $40 plus for a pound. Non, ça ne vaut pas la peine… not worth it!If there is an Italian or German deli place close by your place, I’d recommend you get a good mild flavored sausage from them. Some recipes suggest replacing with a kielbasa but I found the taste to be too strong and would not recommend smoked sausage. I’d go with a Whole Foods mild Italian or something similar.

Will use for cassoulet, but disappointed it was not frozen when it arrived

I added this sausage to a cassoulet recipe. The other meats were tasty and succulent ~ but we just ended up pushing the sausage aside, because of its "sawdust" flavor and texture.

This is good quality prints sausage. Our use it to make a cassoulet and it was wonderful. Anyone would be happy with this product.

Made cassoulet and this was a vital ingredient! Tasted great!
