Great
Great quality. Needed to replace one from the set and it was great that I could buy just the one I needed and the coding on the knife made sure I got the correct one. Nice and sharp, worth the money

Good all-rounder light knife.
So far after just receiving this santoku, I'm very pleased. Has a nice balance, combined with the light weight makes it feel quite versatile to me. Has sharp point at end of knife, good for pokey-tearing stuff. I do prefer a heavier knife, with a more substantial handle - this handle seems quite minimal, suited to smaller less vigorous hands perhaps. But I can definitely get used to it, as it all has a nice feel & balance.Doesn't have a one-sided chisel-edge to the blade, a good thing for myself being a left-hander.It's an all-round, good useful size. Very slight curve to blade (a western thing I believe).Nice precise sharpness so far. I read the Japanese knives are more focused on thin sharpness, so have less thickness of the metal and a more brittle, longer lasting type of steel. So then not so good for sharpening as the Western style, which is said to be softer and thicker.Looks very nice.

Brilliant quality - especially amazing for the low price
I wanted a couple of cheap knives to sit in the cutlery drawer. I bought two of the Victorinox paring knives, but although they were sharp, the handles were so thin and cheap feeling I wasn't a fan. This knife is amazing. You can see it compared to a very well used Sebatier Judge knife from a knife block and this one seems better quality! The photo is after they've both been in the dishwasher, so it looks like it's dishwasher safe too (although the colour may well fade over time). It cuts very well too, time will tell how it holds an edge or chips. No burr on the edge either - unlike the Victorinox knives arrived with! I'm going to buy a second now!

Cheap and cheerful boning knife.
It's a good boning knife for the price. I bought this as a sacrificial knife to keep my good knives good. The handle is a little small for my liking, but it has a nice solid guard so your hand shouldn't slip. The materials and build quality are what you'd expect for the price.
