Love Northern Lights of Christmas
Purchased for Northern Lights of Christmas staring Ashley Williams. I love Ashley Williams in the ABC Family Christmas movies' Snow and Snow 2: Brain Freeze where she also talked to the cute reindeer just like in this movie - hilarious and charming. Ashley's wit and humor are on full display with and without the reindeer co-stars. Great Christmas movie!!

“HALLMARK’S COLLECTIONS SELECTIONS”!
I like collections. What I don’t like is buying collections with selections that I already have. Unfortunately when buying collections that sort of thing is inevitable. I’ve noticed that Hallmark has many other titles that can be released when these Collections are put together. Yet they keep placing some of the same titles that have already been sold separately with titles that had not been released as individuals.I too, had already bought “A Bramble House Christmas”. At the time when I bought this collection “A Blue Ridge Mountain Christmas” and “Northern Lights Of Christmas” were not being offered as individual movies. Though I enjoy all three of these movies “A Bramble House Christmas” is my favorite. It’s my favorite Hallmark Christmas Movie.“A Bramble House Christmas” is about a young mother, “Willa Fairchild”, who is divorced and raising a young child alone. She was a Healthcare Worker, whose last assignment was the Caregiver of “Finnegan Conrad”, whom she and her Son, “Scout” became close to before he past away. “Willa is shocked to learn that “Mr. Conrad” had left her $100,000.00 in his Will. He also set up a trip for she and “Scout” to take during “Scout’s Christmas Holiday Vacation Season” from school, to “Bramble House”.“Mr. Conrad’s” Will does not make his children happy. “Finn”, the Son, wanted to put a stop to the payout of the Will by having an Injunction drawn up, because he believed that “Willa” had somehow stolen the money from his father. His Sister, “Molly” was not with what he was attempting to do. But then she changed her mind after Finn decided to take a trip to “Bramble House” to confront “Willa”.“Finn” was surprised to learn that “Willa” had a young child. As he got to know them his plan started unraveling. “Molly” had done a 360 Degree turn around. She began questioning “Finn’s” reasons for hesitating to confront “Willa” about their father’s Will. “Finn”, in the meantime, kept questioning “Willa” and “Scout” about “Mr. Conrad”, which lead to his finding out about “Scout’s” Heart Surgery, told to him by “Scout”.“Finn” kept “Molly” up to date about everything he was finding out, but “Molly” wasn’t hearing it. She wanted to believe that their father was tricked, even after she was told why he gave “Willa” the money. She thought “Finn” was losing his grasp on the main focus, which was to prove that “Willa” manipulated their father into giving her that money.“Finn” was also falling in love with “Willa”, and he enjoyed “Scout”, which complicated his original reason for coming to “Bramble House” in the first place. He decided not to pursue the matter and threw the papers away, after he’d told “Molly” why. He told her he wasn’t going to pursue the matter and neither should she. And he wasn’t going home for Christmas. That angered “Molly” even more.“Finn” had been asked by “Santa Claus”, whose name was “Ken”, to be a “Guest Speaker”, on the night that he was to read “T’was The Night Before Christmas”, to the Kids in town. “Finn” had first declined because he thought he was going home for Christmas. After he’d changed his mind he told “Santa Ken” that he’d could be his “Guest Speaker”, since he decided to stay. That delighted “Ken”. But all was not well.“Molly had come to town, determined to do what she thought “Finn” had failed to do. It didn’t make matters any better when she saw “Willa” embracing “Finn”. Later, back at the Inn, she confronts “Willa” and tells her who she and “Finn” really are. That causes a handful of issues for her. First she ended her friendship with “Finn”. Then she decided not to accept the job she had been offered by “Mabel Bramble”, which didn’t make any sense to me. And she decided not to stay at “Bramble House” during the rest of the vacation period. Since she and “Scout” were there because of a gifted vacation, by “Molly’s and Finn’s” Father, it’s clear why she wouldn’t want to finish the vacation. But the job was at “Bramble House” as “Mabel Bramble’s Assistant”, which had nothing to do with “Molly”, “Finn”, or “Mr. Conrad”.So in a blink of an eye “Molly” almost messed up three situations: a blossoming relationship between “Finn” and “Willa”: she almost put “Willa” out of a job, which she badly needed: and she almost cost “Willa” and “Scout” a Merry Christmas. Of course everything is fixed after she and “Finn” go after “Willa” and “Scout” to bring them back to the Inn.I didn’t like the ending. I think there should have been more to it. I think after the scene when everyone is in the Family Room discussing their Blessings, there should have been a scene with just “Finn” and “Willa” discussing and celebrating their future together, there at “Bramble House” because “Finn” had decided to stay at “Bramble House” too. “Sage” had generously let “Scout” stay with her for the day so that “Savannah” would have some company. And then later “Finn”, “Willa”, and “Scout” would have an intimate dinner. Then “Willa” lets him go off to bed, after he’s said goodnight to “Finn”. Then she and “Finn” open a bottle of Champagne to celebrate and end the scene with a long awaited kiss. The scene end with the camera pulling away to a beautiful decorated tree or a starlit sky. Or it can just end with the kiss. And definitely a different Christmas Song than the one it ended with. One of the prettier ones. It’s to bad that Hallmark doesn’t do a better job at ending some of their Christmas Movies. There is no excuse. Sure it cost money. But those extra cares for a better ending does count at the end.I’ve read the book that this movie is based on and it is very different. Though it’s an enjoyable read, there doesn’t seem to be much connection between the two, except for the title. I’ve seen a ton of Hallmark Christmas Movies. Most are watchable. But “A Bramble House Christmas” is one of the few that I could watch all day long.
