Helly Hansen Workwear Men's Southwester Waterproof Fishing Rain Hat

I have a very large head and this hat fit with a little snugness but still comfortable. It is totally waterproof. When I row my racing scull in heavy rain, this style of hat keeps water from going down my neck but still enables me to look over my shoulder (unlike a hood) to see where I am going.

Not getting wet anymore.

This rain hat works amazingly well. The difference between this and the cheap, ill-fitting rain hoods present on most workwear raincoats is night and day. I've gotten so tired of constantly having to adjust the position of a rain hood so it isn't either covering my face entirely or letting rain in and down my neck. This hat sits snugly, with the long back brim carrying water well beyond my collar and the shorter front brim letting me see what I'm doing without getting rain in my face.

My head size is 7 1/8 or slightly larger.. I got the 63-64 and it fits well. I can wear a small beanie under it and it still fits ok. It is definitely smaller in overall size to the other one I bought, the Dutch Harbor Gear Men's Sou'Wester Hat, size medium. The Dutch Harbor is 2 inches longer and about 1 inch larger in inner head diameter. I can thus wear a larger beanie under it and also get more wind protection, buuut....see next paragraph.I use tthe Helly Hansen hat much more than the Dutch Harbon one simply because the ties are a reasonable size and they have a way to tighten up the ties.However, I wish the Helly Hansen were a little larger, as that would help with the wind protection, the main reason I bought it. Perhaps I should have bought a larger size but it doesn't look like they offer it..

It's not beautiful! but it's not designed for that. What it is is an excellent rain hat. It really keeps the rain fo om going down your neck. I sometimes garden in the rain and this hat does the trick. Worth every penny.

Great rain hat. Ordered a size too large but that's actually good because the larger brim will do a better job of keeping the rain off my face, and the chin strap will keep the hat in place no matter what.

flimsy construction materials; Won't last very long. I know garments and gear, and this is a poor example of a product from a company I expected more from.

Description said 63-64 and that is incorrect.I wear a 63-64, size 8 hat and this is exceptionally tight. I own seven sized men's hats from Stetson, Bailey, Borsalino, and others and this hat is small. I bought it as a hat for fishing and it's not worth sending back, but wouldn't buy again.
