Apply-it-early,…B4 it’s too-late!
I haven’t used the gallon yet,.. but I’ve used the spray cans mostly of this same item in the past,..knowing I’m getting the “best-protection” for rustproofing !!!All-in all, this product is considerably; (by-far) my one and only choice!“Time-Tested”!

It sticks, easy to apply, really waterproof
This stuff is great! But apply it over gravel, grass or plastic. I am "accidently testing it's weather resistance. Applied on my drive way 7 months ago, still there... I used it inside between the body panels and under, even sticks to muffler temperatures. It stinks for a month then smell goes away.

Educate yourself on the types
Used this product a couple times or at least I thought over the years. Turns out there are two kinds. This one and the "Heavy" Rust Preventative. I'm used to using the Heavy edition. I prefer that one for a black coated finish. This one does a clear coat. Found that out when I started to use it. Perfoms the same protection but with a different finish.

Haven't used this in over 50 years. but was happy to get it.
Volkswagen Bugs were shipped over to the US with this covered in Cosmoline. It worked well then.

Better than fluid film
This really should be more popular than it is.I've used a few of the different undercoat products and the cosmoline ones are far superior. This product goes on thin like water and then dries to a waxy film.This is permanent. I've had great results with one application and never reapplying. The fluid film will rinse off and you'll need to reapply it many times. The cosmoline also has a much milder scent than the fluid film.This is a very clean product when it's dried. Just feels like wax. A lot of other products make your vehicle a big oily mess underneath. You don't have that problem with the cosmoline.Cleans off easily with diesel.One gallon is enough for a through coat on a small to midsized vehicle. Takes about a gallon and a half to do a truck.Works great with a cheap garden sprayer. Regular undercoat air sprayers hooked up to a pancake compressor work great too.Very happy with this product.
