Merrell Men's Chameleon 8 Stretch Waterproof Hiking Shoe

I've worn Merrell shoes, usually slip-ons, for 15 or 20 years, and when I decided to try these new easy lace-lock hiking shoes to improve traction on trails, I was initially shocked that they were so tight I couldn't even get them on! I liked the look but put them back in the box to return the next day, then decided in the morning to try a shoe horn I hadn't used in years. The first attempt took some effort, but the moment my foot was securely in the shoe, it felt great! I wore the shoes around the house for a day before risking discomfort or--worse--a blister a long way from home. I needn't have bothered. These shoes gave me exactly what I wanted: excellent traction and a snug but not too-tight fit. The lacing basically takes care of itself. I've done 15 or 20 miles since trying them on, and I don't hesitate to recommend them. Thanks again, Merrell!

Awesome shoe-this is good price $90. I own 2 pr. Bought for son, did not fit.I like well laced tie on shoes for hiking and was concerned these would not do well with elastic ones, but they are my go to hikers. Size up once, then slip on after. They fit securely and haven’t needed adjustment in > 3 years. Super comfy.The regulars are great in dry weather. The goretex are a little warm in summer, perfect for winter especially if wet. I’ll rebuy when needed.

It may feel a heavy shoe but such a good quality, 100% waterproof. It can feel hot on summer due to breathability. And slippery when you walk on wet rocks. But this is a brand thing I could say.I recommend if you're looking for a durable and waterproof hiking shoe.

Like the way they look ! very comfortable plus they just slip on which is a huge plus the Vibram sole are really great for the rainy weather. I’ll be walking around Portland in these and you cannot beat the Merrell quality. 🏆👍🏆👍
