This works great!
I upgraded my turtle tank to a 40 gallon and went from a Tetra filter to a Fluval canister filter. Then I started having problems with the water being green and cloudy. I did some research and decided to add one of these to my tank and have had no issues with the water since installing it.

Life Saver
Water was good as new in pretty much 48 hours for a 50 gallon tank with a Yellow-belly Slider. Easy setup.

Great for bacterial blooms
I ordered this to treat a bacteria bloom in my 69 gallon reef tank. The water was very cloudy (milky white). I installed it as soon as it arrived in the evening and by morning time the tank was visually clearer with some haziness. By the third day the water was crystal clear and the bacteria bloom was fully cured. I have since turned it off and the water has remained clear since. Highly recommend for bacterial blooms that likely won’t go away on their own or do so over a long time and put your fish’s health in jeopardy

Crystal clear tank
This UV light cleared my 50 gallon aquarium of heavy algae bloom in less than a week! It was so green you couldn’t even see anything in the tank - now it’s clearer than it’s ever been! Very impressed

Not effective for cold plunge, buy ozone generator
Not sure how this UV filter works in a fish tank but it definitely does not work the slightest bit in a chest freezer cold plunge. Initially filled the plunge with reverse osmosis water thinking that if I start with really clean water it would be easier for this thing to keep clear. There is a water pump attached to a whole house cartridge filter providing plenty of circulation. I showered before getting in every time to ensure no products were getting in the water, all the right things. 2 weeks in the water started getting dark but thought it had to do with the pond shield I coated the freezer with, maybe it was off gassing or something as it did smell like chemicals from day 1. Drained all the water and scrubbed down the freezer and rinsed it all out to make sure the dirty water was all out. Filled with tap water, put some epsom salt in it and within a week started getting dark again. Took the UV filter out and piped in an ozone generator (Aldious 28gram/hr model) within 2 hours of continuous running the water cleared up and looks like new again. Save the time and headache, drill the hole in the lid and pipe in the ozone from the beginning. Good luck!
