Keeping pond beautiful
Keeps pond level perfect, used with relay to turn on pump.

So simple
This level switch is being used to activate a pump (via a relay). I found this to be a perfect, simple solution at a great price.Mine came in the Normally Closed (N.C.) position, it takes about 10 seconds to flip it around to make it Normally Open (N.O.) as I needed. This can be determined with a simple multimeter or continuity tester. With the set up I created the switch will activate the relay and then pump when the water level reaches a chosen height. A device that draws less amperage, e.g. an alarm, would not even need a relay. In the N.C. position it can be used to shut OFF a device such as a valve/solenoid when the vessel filled. The switch does not have a bracket but is able to accept one very easily. The whole mechanism is very well built and I predict will be in service for some time.

Seems Solid
Using this to monitor water level in a swimming pool in conjunction with an ESP8266. Selected this one (model ZS12010-2) as it is stainless, claims plated contacts on the internal reed switches and is about the right size for my application. The black pair of wires correspond to the lower float. The red pair for upper float. Working well with 20 ft of wire from float to microcontroller. Too early to tell how it will hold up over time. A more detailed description can be found at the outpost4 dot org blog.

It will work.
The item is fine. It will be used on a trout pond.

needs a relay
Ordered 1 for hydroponic watering. Switch controls a 12vdc pump that draws 300ma. The first switch failed to reliably cycle on/off and was promptly replaced. While contacts are rated at 500ma and pump draws 300ma I believe pump startup current spike exceeds 500ma rating causing contacts to stick. Ended up using $5, 12vdc EMR (general purpose automotive relay) from auto store with this switch. Relay/switch combo has been working like a charm for 3 weeks. Was impressed with solid stainless construction and claim of up to 2 million cycles.

Seem to work good.
I am a little suspect of the quality they look and feel light duty, but that being said they work great. I will update my review after 3 or 4 years of in service use. I have had no issues with floats once I installed them in a suitable manner.

Small but perfect
I needed a way to protect my heated parts washer from frying the heater when the water level drops too low. This thing is perfect!

So, this worked perfectly... once
After that, it died. I installed this on my fish tank to control the water lever with a very small water pump.I installed it along with the pump and removed a couple of cups of water to watch it work, and it worked exactly as I hoped it would.Tank filled, and the pump shut off.Took out a little bit of water again, pump came on, and stayed on. The little float that could, didn't.I'm not sure if I should order another one, or buy a different brand.Definitely not happy with this little guy.
