First time use very easy and helpfull

Purchase this product as my contractor did not have the right tool to keep my historic lock on a brand new door. He was so impressed by this I gave it to him as a tip. Highly recommended.

I'm not sure if this jig was previously returned but it didn't come with instructions. I assembled it based on photos on the listing and it worked ok. Some parts were tricky to assemble as it is heavy and doesn't want to stay still but it will work for my purpose. The cutting head worked well. I was able to affix it to the door (and test on a 2x8) and it drilled the hole nicely. As with every mortise lock install there will be some fine tuning and chiseling, but it got the job done. I would have loved instructions though.

This product seems decently made and like it might work but, alas, it is completely useless. It come with three cutter heads that are giant compared to any mortise lock that you can, or would, buy. Read product description carefully, the SNALLEST cutter head is 18mm (~3/4" for Imperials). I've never even seen a mortise lock this thick, either modern or in restoration work, of which I've done plenty. Worse, there seems to be no way to contact the seller (short of leaving a review), and no way that I can find to buy these cutter heads. If they are standard in some way, the name of that standard is not provided anywhere. So, in short, I can't say how well it works, because I've never used it. What I can say is that if someone can't find me a way to buy more reasonably sized cutter heads for it, I never will. Very sad.

This was a breeze to use, worked perfectly saved us time and money, well worth the money spent, I would buy it again
