Q: Will these color work on light medium brown and grey hair ?

I'm not sure. Grey hair is difficult to dye because it's coarser.

Q: Has anyone tried the light cool denim on dark brown hair with a lot of gray in the front? How does it look?

I have quite a bit of gray and this came out almost black. THIS COLOR IS NOT FOR SISSIES! :-)

I bleached my hair beforehand (the instructions say to wait 14 days but I did it the same day) and it came out dark, like the hair under the model's earlobe in the picture. It did fade to a lighter blue, but never got as bright as the highlights above her eye.

Do not buy this and save your money. I have to contact customer service when I get a chance. Just got an order and im pretty sure its expired. Ive used this color through the drugstore before and it worked just fine, from here, it did not react at all and had a horrible smell poisonous smell.
