Too flexible, not enough support
I'm recovering from a broken pinky toe, and I need something with less flex. This shoe has a soft cushion and still flexes, which means it is really no more supportive than most of my shoes. Essentially, it does nothing for me, so I am returning it.

Pros and cons vs a boot
**EDIT** after wearing for a few days I can say the shoe is not as good as the boot. It does not provide the stability of the boot, the velcro piece falls off and the the straps overhang the shoe making it a fall hazard.I’ve worn them for 5 min after wearing a boot for 10 days. Here are my thoughts.Pros.-Much less bulky, feel *almost* like my foot is in normal shoes. A sense of freedom for my foot if you will.- quicker to get out of- less noticeable-somewhat comparable support. I’d give the boot a little leg up (ha unintended pun there) but not too muchCons-not sure about the quality. They don’t seem like they are going to last very long. They came looking a little eh and after 5 min are looking even more ehhhhh- the reverse side of the Velcro is not attached. Yeah. So if you lose that the shoe is worthless. Why they didn’t sew it on is beyond me. It’s like this on each of the straps.- under the straps, the flap that actually does the supporting of your foot, doesn’t have velcro on it at all. This means you have to hold it closed to the desired tightness with one hand while trying to velcro the straps to their desired tightness with your other hand. If you’re coordinated that’s fine. If you are like me and have 2 dogs in your face, trip over air, get lost in a circle and were always picked last for kickball this is an issue.Pics included. Good luck and feel better soon

Relieves my heel
I bought this shoe after breaking my toe next to the big toe. The shoe I received from the urgent care center was uncomfortable and didn’t fit properly, plus I wanted a square toe box for added protection. I ordered 2 different ones from Amazon and decided on this one because, after walking on my heel for a few days, my heel was very sore as I try to keep weight off my broken toe. This shoe seems to distribute the weight more to the center of my foot, thereby relieving some of the weight from my heel. I normally wear a 6.5-7 and got a Small; however, it just fits and doesn't have as much protection in the front as I’d hoped, so in hindsight, I wish I ordered the Medium.

Better than a boot
When I broke a bone in my foot, the doctor put me into a boot (which was very difficult to deal with), but said I could use a shoe if I needed to. I found this one on Amazon and ordered it. It fit easily and was very simple to use. I was able to use it for the entire course of treatment. Great value vor cost.

Not very stiff
Depending on what you need, the sole might not be stiff enough for you. I have a broken big toe and need zero flex so I don't push off on my stride and while this shoe's sole is firm, it's not "zero" flex. I like the three-straps and square toe. If you need a shoe that will prevent you from flexing on your stride this is not it.
