Stands AH-SGS017 Guitar Footstool (SGS017)

Haven't really put this thing through any torture sessions yet (ha ha), but appears to be a sturdy and well made footrest. Good size with slightly more width than some, good height options, and for whatever reason, is about half the price as what seems equivalent footrests. I've had several of these things over the years, and this seems as good as any. Only complaint is that the rubber pad is only attached with the rivets and not glued down. A few quick streaks of crazy-glue took care of that. Would be nice if it had an option for sitting flat as well as angled up, but not a big deal.Cheers

sadly, this footrest has a limited lifespan, even under normal use, as the graduated tabs provided for adjusting the height are poorly made: they're simply stamped and bent out of the metal plate that the top rubber pad sits on, and once bent (see photo), will NOT be easily re-formed to provide a secure hold at the desired height ... this is disappointing, since the unit is otherwise stable and usable for the first few months ... the designers seem to have forgotten that there will be some substantial weight on the unit from time to time, and they've failed to provide a solution that holds up after normal use ... [December 2017 update:] here's what I've had to do to get any use out of this otherwise OK footrest, whose platform and hinged arms I have no problem with ... first, I drilled out the middle rivets that hold the topside foot grip pad to provide an anchor thru the platform ... then a foot-long piece of 12 gauge solid wire bent as shown in the pictures provides the needed material to hold the crossbar in place, now in the 2nd position, one higher than I really want ... my solution keeps its height, but now at the expense of collapsibility and portability ... the typical customer should NOT have to go thru such nonsense to make this item usable over an extended period of time!

Surprised by other reviews, This footrest is exactly as pictured here. Yes, it does rest the foot at an angle, exactly as pictured. As the height is adjusted upward the angle increases, a difference of 0.5" from heel (4.5") to toe (5") above the floor at lowest setting; and at highest setting a difference of 1.75" from heel (8") to toe (9.75") above the floor. I wouldn't call it lightweight, but feels very solid. I am surprised that a reviewer said this was too low for a normal chair as the high setting averages 9". Well worth the money. Fit and finish are very good, no sharp edges. Perfect for me at low setting, with my acoustic guitar balanced on my right thigh while sitting in desk chair.

I picked this one out of many on Amazon primarily because it has a smaller pad (tiny less than 10" in length) and that's good for the size of my foot, also because the product description says "7 ounce" for weight, though the "shipping weight" did say "1.5 pounds". Upon receiving it, I found the product to be quite weighty and it does actually weigh 1.5 pounds. Other than that, the footrest appears to be very well constructed and sturdy, amazingly for such a low price. Height is from 5" to 9".

An Ok foot rest had it in my cast for about a year and the non slip part began coming off, but other then that it does its job.

I wasn't sure this would make a difference for me being a new guitar student but the first time I used it the benefits were noticeable. the stand raises my leg up so that holding my guitar is much more comfortable. The price was excellent too.

I am a beginner with the guitar but when I saw this stand I knew that I needed it. It helps me get my feet up to get the guitar closer to my body, making it somewhat easier to play. The stand is great jparticularly because it has many height positions.

My younger son uses this item and it fits his need. perfect height.

Für das Gitarre spielen in klassischer Position eignet sich die Fußbank bestens. Durch die verschiedenen Stufen lässt sich die Höhe auf Wunsch einstellen.Andere Rezensionen, welche die Stabilität bemängeln, kann ich so nicht nachvollziehen. Im Gegenteil: Auf mich macht die Fußbank einen überdurchschnittlich stabilen Eindruck. Dabei ist es auch nicht die Erste, die ich besitze.Lieder ist die Mechanik ein wenig schwergängig. Das wird sich jedoch sicherlich mit der Zeit lockern.Fazit: Die Fußbank ist eine volle Empfehlung. Für einen günstigen Preis wird ein tolles Produkt geboten.

Apoyé el pié con la guitarra en la rodilla, por supuesto sentado y a los pocos segundos se desplomó.Al ver qué pasaba, vi que se habian deformado los topes y habían cedido. Es posible que en otras posiciones sea mas fuerte.Después de leer las opiniones que había, la verdad es que me ha decepcionado bastante, a pesar de su precio.La respuesta por parte de Amazon ha sido rápida y positiva.

Me encanta! No me puedo creer lo bueno que es considerando el precio. Es súper fuerte y estable y tiene varias alturas diferentes. Fácil de poner en posición que ocupa menos espacio para guardarlo o transportarlo y fácil de abrir de nuevo y colocar en la posición deseada. Muy práctico... Es un poco pesado para su ta,maño pero eso hace que sea más estable. Lo recomiendo!!

En principio me daba miedo comprarlo por los comentarios que había de que se rompía en seguida.Pero tengo que decir que esta muy bien.Si es cierto, que la última o primera pestaña,es un poco delicada,pero tiene arreglo,yo uso las otras que son más seguras.El precio es increíble por lo bien que está.Es para apoyar el pie,no para hacer fuerza ni subirse en el.

Creo que es una buena compra si buscas algo muy económico, en cuanto a que los materiales no son malos, los apollos están bien terminados y engomados, y se abre y cierra correctamente, pero tampoco ofrece una estabilidad excepcional.Estoy satisfecho porque no buscaba nada avanzado.
