BRAN NEW installation, to replace the existing failing drum (not at 30k pages yet and causing streaks and lines on the left side)I am an old-time loyal customer of V4INK. But, in the last year or so Toner is often dirty and causing cleaning of the printer frequently and now a failing drum before its time. And Now.. this bran new Drum causing no ink transfer. The pages a washed out and not acceptable for official print documents. This item is defective! I put the older Drum back (and despite the lines/markings/tracking on the left) at the very least, there is print on the paper. VERY DISAPPOINTED!V4INK Guarantees thier products, but what I really need, is reliable Toner and Drums that work right out of the box. This is costing me my work flow and unprofessional poor quality of documents. What's V4INK???

While I haven't had a lot of time to try out this new drum unit, I have had current and prior experience with the customer service of V4ink and, unlike most sellers on Amazon, they actually make it easy to contact them, give you phone, email and website contact information with your products, and they respond quickly. I think that is more important than even the quality of products. Everyone know these days that manufacturers no longer employ quality control personal, but instead utilize "ISO 9###" testing (which my brother, an engineer, actually performs for factories--typically in China) to ensure quality. Therefore, many such products occasionally have defects, and the defining and most important characteristic of a seller a buyer should most value is HOW the seller responds to those issues. V4ink does a better job than almost any other seller I have encountered on Amazon, so that is why I not only value their products--but also them.

The drum assembly fit perfectly, printed well, and was well documented for my model. More economical than the OEM equivalent!

There is no guarantee that when you order this item, you get a V4ink drum, when you do get a V4Ink drum, in v$Ink packaging, you have received a high quality drum. However, there have been a few times I have ordered the V4Ink drum and received another brand with a V4Ink sticker on the box and every single time the drum has had to be sent back due to print quality.I have given 5 stars in all categories because when you receive V4Ink, it is 5 Star product. Overall rating is 3 stars because you may receive another brand with V4Ink sticker on another brands drum.

Can potentially hold its own with OEM parts but that depends on a number of factors, namely if your toner cartridge wants to play nice. Overall, given the price of OEM, seems worth the gamble... especially since even OEM can have its issues as well.

The original drum that came with my printer was printing terribly in spite of cleaning. I wasn’t sure if the drum was the problem, so I decided to try replacing it with this because it was relatively inexpensive. The print quality improved greatly although it is still lacking. To be fair, I am not a printer expert and the printer may have an entirely different issue aside from the drum. For the price, it’s worth a try.

Edit- Customer service raised my stars from 1 to 4. They saw that I had a problem with their product and sent me a new one at no charge and the new drum fixed the issue.Tried to save a few bucks by buying this one, but had problems from day one and complete failure after only 700 pages were printed. Would not recommend.

For two months it worked fine, then its printing became very light. This time the cheap option did not work out.

Got a DR-720 Drum via third party from Amazon (Did not looked at seller during checked out) and Drum keep on jamming whenever I print documents. contacted V4INK and we found out the drum which I bough came from third party seller not V4INK. BUT Miranda from V4INK support team stand by their product and send out a replacement during all the crazy pandemic going on. the new drum replacement from V4INK work like a champ and my printer (Brother MFC-8710DW) print almost like the Brother's drum which cost way more.

I don't know what " sheerness" is supposed to be, but this drum works well in my printer.

So, I got this drum kit today - installed it easily enough in my Brother MFC-8410DW - Did a bunch of test prints with zero issues, prints were all clear and smudge-free. So, it appears this drum has fixed my issues.

First, the good: V4INK drums and toner are by far the lowest cost items that I have found. The old adage that you get what you pay for, brings us to the bad: Results are hit-or-miss. Sometimes their product leaves smudges or other significant imperfections in page quality. Sometimes they work fine. Often it is difficult to tell if it is the drum or the toner. Because I have multiple machines that use the same items, I can isolate the problem by trying each part out in one of my other machines. I am on the fence as to whether it is worth it. In addition, where the problem reveals itself after Amazon's 30 day return period, I have not been able to determine how to do a return to the manufacturer. Finally, the toners only provide half as many pages as the factory high-yield toner.

had problem with printing quality even after replacing toner. So finally replaced this drum. Got the result.

I honestly don't know whether the new replacement drum and print cartridge, which I also bought at the same time, really work cause my printer is still dead. I will revise my review when I have more information.

This drum (and the new toner cartridge) have made my printer perform like new! I couldn't be more pleased. I just wish the old cartridges could be recycled.
