Having this pen handy gives peace of mind in several areas. I hope to never need to break the glass to get out of a car, but now I have that comfort. Additionally, that point would be an effective deterrent and, if necessary, a weapon. The tool is small but sturdy. It will lift the cap of a bottle and turn a screw. The little scraper could be just the tool needed in some cases but I was a little disappointed that it does not have a cutting edge. The flash light is very bright in close quarters and can light the way for you in the dark. I don't know how much the flashing mode would dissuade a villain but it is quite effective at getting someone's attention from across the room, auditorium or maybe even an arena. The pen writes smoothly. The package contains a pen refill and extra batteries for the flashlight.

Solid pen. Built tough. Writes amazing with stock filler. Nice weight and balance too. Now the things I don't like. The on button for the flashlight is on the wrong side. Faces my body while riding in my uniform pocket. I'm afraid it might turn on when compressed against my body armor. Next gripe, I wish the cap would screw on over the glass breaker while writing. Friction is not enough to keep it from rocking back and forth. It needs to screw on for stability and to c\keep the cap from getting lost. Very nice pen otherwise. Excellent buy for a budget tactical pen. I give it four stars overall.

Wow! Super product! I have looked at many "tactical" pens and this has all the right features: flashlight, pen, multi-tool (flat head screw driver, bottle opener, mini saw, mini wrench), window breaker end. Thinner than most so it is less conspicuous and easier to hold/carry. Pen writes very smoothly in black ink. Comes with one pen refill and 6 batter refills in a very nice case. I just got it so I cannot speak to durability.

Better than Expected ... High Quality Pen with a Screw On Top ... Not as impressive of an emergency glass breaker or self-defense tool BUT the pen light is very bright and the design is comfortable in the hand. Bravo Zulu!

I bought this for my husband as a gift considering he works in construction and is one of those people that you can never buy anything for that he doesn't already have. He really liked having all the little tools in one and it not be a bulky pen.

Great tactical pen. Came with a couple spare battery sets and an extra ink cartridge. Solid, reasonable weight for EDC and the flashlight gives off a nice amount of light. Already finding this pen extremly useful.

Very handy. I am a volunteer for a County park and have to do night park checks and write citations in the dark and the pen and flashlight are perfect for me. This comes with a replacement pen insert and an extra set of batteries. Good deal!

It is well crafted and sturdy. The flashlight is powerful for its size.The only drawback is too bulky to carry around in your shirt's pocket or clip to your shirt's collar.I don't see the same issue if you are a woman and normally carry around a tote or purse.
