Working outside in sunny and humid Southwest Florida requires a lot of protection from the sun and bugs -- especially as you get older. I ordered this particular boonie type hat because it offered a wide brim, UV protection (SPF 50), adjustability, and mesh covers over the breathing holes. The mesh covered holes are a nice touch during our 95 degree plus days because they keep the bugs out while still allowing a bit of air to circulate under the hat.I wore my last boonie hat until it virtually rotted. When I removed this new hat from the packaging I was immediately impressed with the quality of the construction and the vividness of the colors (Military Green). There is no question that this new Micoop Wide Brim Military Camouflage Hat is a big step up in quality from my old boonie. The material is thicker, the grommets for the breathing holes are properly anchored, and the adjustable chin strap makes it easy to get a comfortable fit.My normal hat size is 7 3/8. While this particular hat runs big, it can be adjusted to fit properly. Combining that with all the other features and you end up with a great hat for the money. As an added bonus, when I tried it on for my kids at the dinner table, they said that they couldn't see me when I had it on. I guess that the camouflage works too!

This hat is comicly larger than most others like it.

I had received a hat i recently ordered and whether it was defective or what not I could not the front and rear creases out of the brim. I tried several different ways to no avail. The creases were offset so wearing it didn't look right. I left a two star review about that.Shortly there after I received an email from the store apologizing about that and mentioning that I should steam iron it. That was my second attempt, first was hand washing it. The store had sent me another hat and that was not my intentions when I made my first review or wanting a refund. I received the second hat today and after drying from a hand wash there were not stubborn offset creases in the front nor back of brim. I really like this hat and would like to find a orange camo one as well. I am beyond satisfied with how the store had handled the matter. So I made sure to re-edit my first 2 star review and turn to a 5.

It came in the shipping box all folded up kinda ruined the shape... also I have a small head size tried to adjust to it’s largest size ... still too small I plan on returning it... Does it come in a larger size? Please advise Thanks

Great hat. I work outside a lot and this thing is just what I needed. It has a really wide brim and will shade the largest of heads. The adjustable band is really nice. You will need to tighten it down if its windy out. The hat will catch air like a kite and take off. The fabric is the perfect thickness to protect you from the sun but also allow air to breath. There are vents on the top that are great at letting cool air dry my sweaty head. At first my coworkers thought I was joking when I started wearing this hat, then they realized how functional it is and they started asking where I got it. Really like this - nice big brim, color darker than expected but like it better actually. I recommend it.
