I used this on a cruise ship, which had an electric kettle, but no in stateroom coffee maker.Technique is important when making pour over coffee. Pour slowly and be sure to move your pour stream over and across the coffee grounds in order to gain maximum benefit from your coffee. If the coffee grounds are floating on top, you are pouring too fast!!! I would also recommend using an extra spoon of coffee from your normal "blend" in order to get the same brew strength you enjoy at home.FYI, either #2 or #4 paper cone filters will work this device.Top rack, dishwasher safe.

This is the second one of these I own. Sets nicely on a coffee cup and imparts no off taste. Very easy to clean.

I have two of these Melitta coffee cones. The one I bought probably 10 years ago for camping, I still use for my at-home coffee-making needs (two or three times a week). The other, purchased more recently, sits at my personal coffee station at work and gets used every day I'm in the office, which is most days. If all you need to make is one cup at a time, the Melitta coffee cone works perfectly. I use the larger #4 cone filters and two heaping tablespoons of coffee grounds to make 14-16 oz of coffee. The cones are lightweight, easy to clean, and will probably never wear out.

I have the Melita porcelain pour over. Just afraid I might drop it one day and not be able to do coffee in the morning so I bought this plastic one to keep as a backup. It works the same. Very handy to have. I have always made a perked pot of coffee until I had to cut down so I decided to try these. Now I'm down to just two mugs a day and this is absolutely perfect. It makes delicious coffee. And I can have two different flavors every morning. Win . Win .
