Perfect!
The media could not be loaded. Wow $15 I think what you get for the price is amazing! I'm taking a water color class and can't wait to try these out.

From an intermediate artist, I really enjoy this set!
While I am no pro - I am certainly beyond the stages of being a beginner and let me tell you, I am IMPRESSED by this set! The colors are not at all chalky like in many other value sets - just the opposite. These pans are smooth and creamy. I would easily compare these to my Winsor and Newton Cotman travel set, but the GenCrafts are a mere fraction of the price. The one area I cannot speak to is lightfastness - so if that is a concern for you, then best to invest n colors from a long standing company with established lightfast ratings. I use this set for play, art journaling, crafting, and card making - so it is a perfect blend of quality and affordability. I have been able to lift these paints from the page without issue, and I also find that they perform great with other common watercolor techniques such as wet on wet and dry brush.I will note that I also bought the 48 pan set and found that while equally as great - it was too many colors for me. I really enjoy mixing colors, and working with smaller, more limited palette so this set is a great fit for me. If you love to have a ton of color options and/or color mixing isn't your love - then definitely check out the 48 pan set. Either way, you can't go wrong!

Everything you need for on the go painting
I'm not a painter at all, but I wanted to try my hand at this. I really like this set because it comes with everything you need. I didn't have to go buy separate paper or brushes which was really nice. The paints are easy and smooth to use. I love the brushes because it allows me to paint practically mess free anywhere. The first picture is of my 2 completed paintings and the second is when I opened it and was messing around with the paints.

Misleading “bonus” doesn’t come with.
It doesn’t come with any of the paper you see in the picture. The water-filled brushes are really cool and the paint goes on nice, but you can get this set cheaper priced w/out the paper.....and since you don’t get the paper anyways, why pay for it.

This might be my perfect ready-made palette
Love the pallete container itself- perfect size, sturdy quality plastic, really good, well-separated mixing spaces. The paints are nice, quality, creamy colors that go on paper so nicely (even cheap paper). There are enough different colors that this is my go to palette, and I added some metallic gold, and Hooker’s green in the mixing spaces. I wish my brushes were a little shorter that they’d fit in the water brush space. Might sand a couple down to fit :) If you’ve used Kristi Rice’s Art For Joy’s Sake watercolor palette, these paints felt just the same, to me - and there are twice the colors for half the price! Then again, I also liked the paper in the little pad that came with this palette, and others did not. Anyway, if I ever hear that someone wants to start painting, I’m getting this for them!
