It would have been a beautiful board if it didn't have scratches on the sides. I think someone returned it and the vendor just rewrapped it. This is a pretty expensive board and I expected better quality than what I got. I'd return it if it wasn't such a hassle. I just won't purchase anything else from this vendor

Great set! The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because the bottoms of the pieces didn’t come with anything under them like that velvet material that they sometimes come with so it’s just stone on stone. Still, I got it as a gift for my husband and he loves it. And I really do think it’s well made.

Very nice set. Set was very well packaged but unfortunatly one of the pieces (queen) arrived cracked. I would not recommend toppling over your king when conceding. Radacaln was terrific and replaced my piece no questions asked!Just a beautiful set and well worth the money!

My 15 year old requested a chess set for his birthday, I had no idea what I was looking for, I have zero experience playing the game. Read reviews and decided on this one. This one is great!!! My son loves it!!! He specifically did not want a cheaply made set and this one is not cheaply made. It’s great!! My son and I were both amazed, great craftsman ship.

You can tell it's homemade. 1st one had a scratch and large amount of glue in few spots. I wasn't a fan of that and re-order it. Came back amazing and I'm looking forward to set it in my custom made coffee table
