The mounting was not easy to figure out. For one thing, the screws were too long for the casings it provides (it literally goes straight through them and then it's impossible to tighten them so the brackets are loose on the wall). In the end, we used heavy duty bolt screws because that's all we had on hand. I'll be honest, I really don't trust the mounting: the brackets are so small it's hard to believe that they will hold up this giant board, especially seeing as the lip is so small it barely clips on to the brackets.We couldn't figure out how to attach the L brackets because the instructions said that we had to screw them into the bottom of the board.. but there are no holes in the board so it expects us to drill them in... while it's already hung up? Our wall is actually not straight, so we couldn't do this anyway.The board itself is great, though! It feels kind of thin, but it's very sturdy. If you have time to figure out the mounting, I definitely recommend this board.

As a student I would fantasize about the whiteboard I would have once I made it to grad school (nerdy, right?). As a PT student this whiteboard is a necessity! Seriously, treat yo self. I love having the large surface area to draw out as many details as I can without having to erase everything for more space. I commute 14 miles to school and it is nice to have the board available so that I don't have to go either to campus or to a library for large whiteboard access. The board is magnetic which I LOVE because magnetic erasers will stay and I can put up any papers that I want (I'm pretty visual)I totally agree with other reviews that the installation is HORRID. You need a pencil, a level, tape measure, two people, and muscle to get this thing installed correctly and straight. The board was packaged well but I had to fight with the box to get it out.Overall I would recommend this product for any student who has the money and the space for it. My husband and I created an office space around my academic needs so we had a wall dedicated to the whiteboard. It is very large and would not practically fit in a small bedroom even if you had space to slide it behind something. (If you have roommates maybe convince them to pitch in and designate living room space for group study sessions)

I bought mine through Amazon Warehouse Deals (probably a returned one), so sure, I got a great price, but the packaging was unacceptable. The box arrived beat up and barely closed together, with zero padding on this heavy item (heavier than you would think just looking at the photo). As I picked up the box to bring it inside my house, I could hear the metal rattling inside. One of the corners of the board was blunted a little bit. There was a matching slit in the box where it looks like the corner cut the box when it banged against something, which wouldn't have happened if there was ANY padding. There is also a small dent on the very top of the metal frame. I debated returning it, but what a pain for an item this large.I went ahead and hung it above the desk, and the dings aren't visible, especially the top one because it's up so high. It turned out fine, but good grief, pad these things for shipping!The mounting takes a bit of work and figuring out the instructions, but it's worth it. I wanted this size board, I wanted it magnetic, and ultimately it looks good once I got it up there.

I ordered this fully expecting it to arrive bent or broken some how, some way. Surprisingly it arrived a day earlier than expected via FedEx and it was in perfect shape.Now, on to the product review. It's exactly as described. The frame is a matte black metal, and the board is a smooth white with a magnetic back. I've tried several brands of markers and erasers on it so far, and all have worked just fine.Installation is a pain. Of course, installation of any brand of large whiteboard or bulletin board is a pain. But here's a trick - there's a big piece of cardboard inside the box that protects the front of the board during shipping. It's glued in there pretty well, but if you carefully remove it you can then use that as your template to drill the holes to hang it. Just draw an outline of the board on the cardboard, then make all your measurements for where you're supposed to drill into the wall, then place the template on the wall, level it, tape it in place, and drill your holes. Worked perfectly for me and saved me from having to spend half the day taking measurements to make it work!

We purchased these for classrooms in our school district. When we placed the order, we were told they'd take 9 weeks to arrive, but they actually arrived in less than 1 month. They are very heavy and require at least 3 people to install. We had to purchase brackets and hardware to hang these from a local hardware store because it doesn't come with anything to mount them. When hanging them, be sure to mount extra support in the middle of the boards and not just on the outer edges. The boards started to bow in the middle after just a few days, so our maintenance crew had to add reinforcements. The finish on the boards is already wearing away and we've only had them in the classrooms for 4 months, but our teachers and students use them all day long. The one in our conference room is used infrequently, so it's still in new condition. If you're going to use the board often, pay extra for a thicker board with a more durable finish.

If pinky and the brain had this board they would have for sure taken over the world. It’s a great whiteboard; erases easily and is built well.

Good board. A bit hard to mount on wall but if you follow instructions, it seems to be stable/sturdy.
