Works perfect
My trunk popper on my 09 g6 works again.

Gets the Trunk Popping Open Again
It seems that over time, grime and likely water from the door being opened in the rain caused the stock button to quit. I checked the connecting points and cleaned them, but that didn't fix it. I knew the switch was getting 12 volts though, so bought a new one here and it solved the problem. Trunk opens now as designed.

The old one only worked about every 10 or 15 presses this one works every time.

It's the correct part and works as it should. However, you might also be looking for the accompanying part that you probably broke when removing said switch. After an exorbitant amount of time searching, the other part that keeps this part from falling down the hole is called a "Trunk Lid Switch Bezel". Ordering it now!
