I’ve been looking for something suitable to keep my saxophone dry and healthy. This fits the bill. I always swipe my instrument after use and this is ideal for absorbing any remaining moisture. Love it

A little small for an alto sax mouthpiece
Besides using cloths to dry my sax, I use two other absorbent rods, one for my alto sax neck piece and a larger one for the body of the instrument. This mouthpiece absorbent rod is too small to be of much use for my Yamaha 4C mouthpiece.

Very small even for clarinet mouthpiece.
The item I received was red/white and barely touches the inside of the mouthpiece.
