#1 recommended purchase it replaces Vplates!!
THIS IS THE SLEEPER ACCESSORY OF THE YEAR!Imagine losing an entire v-plate setup and the cost savings having A. Full power high capacity for lights, Atomos recorder, etc, but B. Powering a camera, or visa versa a Recorder, AND C. Powering a light like some of the smaller LED’s W/ micro usb, or Larger ones w/ the std plug input out, w/ the cable supplied! I stuck a plastic cable clamp to the side and hung the access wire on it, use this with an identical high capacity without extra plugs, to power my Atomos ninja, savings 4 back up batteries all for that and or lights if needed, as I power my main LED if used with the plugin cable. It powers a full Studio HDMI FIELD monitor, which I then run the power off to a small 5 inch facing the actors, so they can see what framing looks like. Great for tut videos as I can see my self running the camera on a hand held remote. I think these are an absolute must have. I personally can’t stand the size of a useful v-mount power brick, on my rigs, it starts to become outrageous. Never mind the minimum cost of that setup = $300+ for a decent one, when this = voltage and @ $24 a piece, 100% I recommend these are beautiful!

Works for the MPC One Plus.
This was a popular choice for a battery pack to use with the MPC One. Some said it doesn't work for them after update 2.13 but it works for me, so I guess I'm lucky. Comes with the right sized cord and fits fine. A small and lightweight options to make it portable. Worth the price, but you also need to buy a batter charger as well; still a relatively cheap option overall, especially compared to buying an MPC Live 2 for nearly twice as much.

Wish I could have given it FIVE stars, BUT...
UPDATE 15 DEC 2016.Learned the voltage meters (see below) indicate 12V light when full charged. Also lower rating from 4.9 stars to 4.0, as one of the two units I ordered doesn't charge at all. This may not seem like a big deal, but when you're on a schedule to shoot using these for your lights and monitor, it can really mess to up.Hoping to upgrade (or downgrade) this rating after I see how they handle the return.Pros:Nicely built, feels good in hands, works as advertised (for my Aputure VS-5 monitor).Has USB port OUT and I connected to my iPhone as a charger. Awesome.Has DC output port AND INCLUDED cable, so if you have larger than 2.5mm connection to device trying to charge, you can use the included cable, plug into the battery, and don't have to dock the battery on the unit.Instead of HAVING to dock these to a bulky charger, you can use a 2.5mm DC adapter (not included) and plug right into DC INPUT port to charge the battery, and that makes it really awesome!Price is WAY good considering these Sony OEM Batteries can cost upwards of $150. Really Sony?Slides and locks well on the devices I use it on.Haven't tested battery life yet, but if not as advertised, will update this review.CONS:HUGE CON is no manual whatsoever. For instance, if I press the button on the front of the battery, the light comes on. Is this a level indicator? Does it blink when it gets low? Guess I'll eventually find out, but, no manual or card telling me anything with the unit. Also, if you double-click the button, the 9V light comes on. OK, that's cool, but, uh, why? Does that change it to 9V? Then there's a 12V light. I've tried clicking, double-clicking, triple-clicking, holding for seconds, and the 12V light never ever comes on. Confusing - why have a 12V light if it never shows 12V, and in fact, why have a 9V light if the battery is rated at 7.4 V. I am sure some savvy electronics person can explain this, BUT MY WHOLE POINT is there is NO manual, sheet, paper,, etc. for those of us not knowledgeable about this. The Amazon description doesn't say anything, and I even went to the manufacturers web site (PowerExtra) and it's exactly the same as Amazon description, meaning, I still don't know what this button and these lights do or indicate. You can press the button and the light comes on, you can't press it again and turn off the light. This sounds like a nit, but seriously, there needs to be information for the buyer or they get confused, or feel they might use the unit incorrectly.OVERALL RATING:I give this 4 stars (actually 4.9 stars), and not 5 as I can't find out the info I need after I purchased it on usage, otherwise it would have been 5 stars. I will modify this review as necessary, as I HAVE NOT tested battery life as advertised, BUT, having these batteries to use on my monitors, LED lights AND, let me say that again AND, a USB port to use these as a device charger, makes it pretty awesome in my book.

This thing is awesome. Wish they still sold the D-Tap version
This thing is awesome. Wish they still sold the D-Tap version.Using this for a video rig. Powers the monitor, camera and 5v transmitter all at once. It's a tricky setup, but it works! So far the cell quality seems to be great. Still getting close to the rated power. We've used this for all sorts of setups. Sometimes just for the Atomos recorder and video transmitter. I'll be buying a few more. Slightly more expensive than a standard NP-F970 but well worth it for my needs. It's a little tricky to operate. Once sorted, it's simple and just plain works. Can't wait to pick up a few more.

Perfect for focus pulling monitor setups
I absolutely love these batteries. I have 15 of them. They work on my led lights. They can charge my phone. Most importantly they provide a super light and efficient solution for powering my directors monitors. I use a Small hd 702 monitor with a teradek sidekick II receiver as a handheld focus monitor on set. I can attach one of these batteries directly to the back of the monitor and ,with a dc-lemo cable from Alvin's cables, I can also power the teradek from the same battery in 12v mode. One battery can power the monitor and teradek for about 3 hours and I can comfortable hang the monitor around my neck all day unlike my previous solutions with heavy and expensive gold mount batteries. The only thing I wish they had was some indicator of remaining charge, but I have a charger with led screen that shows me % and I can easily carry more than enough to get me through a day of shooting while swapping before they come too close to running out.
