Seem solid enough
Seem solid enough. Had to reduce thickness of tapered part of shaft to fit to Spade and Fork, but it only took 1/2 an hour for each one

I ate too much spinach.
Have a garden fork and spade both with broken handles.Will fix them soon.

Heirloom rescued
I snapped the shaft of my deceased grandfather's spade whilst trying to remove a stubborn tree root. This replacement shaft enabled me to avoid throwing away a much treasured heirloom. It is a perfect fit and the task was completed without needing to reprofile.
