Admitting Defeat... this works after all
My wife would definitely give this 5 stars. I still think it's a tad silly, so I'm sticking with 4. Let it be known that when it arrived, I had a firm 0.5 stars in mind.Me: Why on earth do we need this?!Wife: Because it gives the kids structure.Me: I thought that's what the Lincoln Logs were for. Did we pay money for this? However, my wife made little cards with both text and pictures to represent all of the activities that the kids are involved with throughout the week. After about two weeks of it being up, I have to admit that the kids love it and it has made life easier. By "easier" I mean this: my kids are 4, 3, and 1. They are constantly being carted around to places - grocery store, YMCA, play dates, pre school. Even when at home they have to eat when we make dinner, bathe when we say, play outside when we deem it appropriate, etc. This calendar has given them some semblance of control over their day. They still don't get to decide what happens or when, but they know it is coming. They can look at the chart, see that they just had breakfast, and after that they are supposed to get dressed so they can go with Mom to the Park. Because they know it is coming, there are no random arguments or breakdowns about things they do not want to do. They have already been prepared that it is coming.I would never have bought into this concept, except that I've seen it work. The other day my daughter told me when it was nap time. I was blown away. We were eating lunch. She looked at the shcedule and matter-o'-factly informed me that she would be taking a nap when she was done eating. So... four stars.

Great for a classroom
This pocket chart is excellent for the classroom to hang over a closet door. It is narrow, but very sturdy and its thickness is of great quality. I seen these sell a Lakeshore (teacher store) for twice as much and not of the same thickness. My wife it totally happy with this and has ordered a second and third one. Make sure you check the size because the pockets are not too big to hold lots.

A useful organization tool that is customizable. But....
Our chart is getting daily use but I want to warn those that are looking into buying the chart that it is not dry erase.I started writing on mine and realized that while it was easy to write on the cards it was not going to be so easy to remove the writing. The cards are more of a coated cardboard than an actual dry erase surface. I looked back at the description and sure enough it never states that the chart is dry erase. But that doesn't stop this from being a fully customizable chart. I ran the cards through a laminator and now it is exactly what I was looking for. If you go this route you can create all type of activities in which your students can write in answers, write spelling words etc. The booklet that comes with it has various suggestions. The chart is not overly large which I preferred for use in the home. Overall, I am very happy.

Excellent and versatile tool for scheduling and more
I've looked at several schduling pockets and picked this one. Things I like about this prodcut:- Overall simple and clean look- Pocket cards have 3 sections: digital time, analog time, and activity- Plenty of pockets (14) plus a storage area at the bottom for unused cards- Plenty of blank cards that can be customizedI use it at home to schedule my son's after school hours: free time, reading, homework, piano practice, chores, bedtime reading, and bedtime. After luminating all the cards, I used a dry eraser pen to write on, and hung it on the refrigerator. Now I can easily erase/change the time or activity on each card and change the order of cards. An instrcution sheet that comes with the pocket gives suggestions of other usages of the pocket by making your own cards, such as teaching sequence of sentences, displaying grammer rules, displaying goals/stages of a project, etc. I want to teach my children Chinese and am thiking of using it to display Chinese characters.

Versatile and Attractive Schedule Chart and Cards
Sturdy, attractive, easy-to-mount pocket chart with more than enough pockets for schedule changes and storage of cards. Once I laminated the cards, I could change the times on them easily with a dry-erase marker. I like being able to draw the hands on the clock faces to show students the times things happen. The blue is a great shade, without being too light or too dark. It's nice to see a pocket chart made of a sturdy fabric-like material rather than crinkly or plasticky material, as well as being a different colour than red or yellow. A great value for the price and comes with cards and chart. The size is excellent for visibility while not taking up much wall real-estate.

As pictured
Received quickly, exactly as shown. Blue, slim with 14 clear pockets + 1 solid pocket for storing. Seems sturdy. Does not come with hooks, so make sure you have hooks, pins, or other ways to hang it up handy.

Comes with a lot of cards and was perfect for my 1st and 2nd grade classes
Comes with a lot of cards and was perfect for my 1st and 2nd grade classes! They loved being able to look up to see, not only the digital time, but the analog time as well. They often tried to match it up to our classroom clock on the wall! It was a great learning tool as well as an organizational tool. The only downside was that the bottom pouch for all the cards ripped easily.

Great Day Schedule Pocket Chart
This pocket chart really saves me a lot of time. Each day, I just switch in/out different activities and times, which only takes about a minute. It can get very crowded with the time, clock, and activity on one strip, so I don't use the analog clock (it's too small to see from far away anyways). I cut out the digital time and space each time about an inch from the corresponding activities (whose times change every day anyways). I would suggest that you do the same if you don't like clutter or if your schedule changes a lot from day to day.
