Maxblue MB-H7-CB Filter, 1-year Lifetime, Replacement for MB-H7 Reverse Osmosis System

I bought this as a replacement for my old unit that I was happy with but failed and is no longer made by the manufacturer. The installation instructions were very good and easy for a novice with little mechanical skills to follow. After installation, I had almost no water coming from the faucet. I contacted the seller asking for ideas on what I may have done wrong in installing it. They responded very fast, may have been the same day, certainly the next day (I don't remember). It turns out that even though I thought I was meticulous in following the installation instructions and verified it looked correct at least four times, the problem was that I had installed the filters in the wrong order even though which filter goes in which position was clearly marked on the unit. Once I got the filters into the correct order, the unit performed as advertised. The flow is just slightly less than I had with my old system but certainly adequate. It just takes about a minute longer to fill a 1.5-gallon container and is not noticeable if just filling up a glass of water. Highly recommend. I waited a couple of months to write this review as I wanted to make sure there were no other post-installation issues. Another plus is that the replacement filters are reasonably priced, something I looked at carefully as I was deciding what product to buy, because often the initial purchase may be cheap, but the ongoing maintenance costs are killers.

Easy to install and helps the water taste better

Everything came in the box and all the pieces worked. I flushed the tank the times and the TDS/PPM are reading 7 and the pH is 6.50 so far. These numbers far exceed the Berkey I've been using which was in the 50's and the PH was 7.00. So I'm happy with the numbers and my family and plants will be too.

After waiting for production to begin again - we finally got a replacement PAC filter for the reverse osmosis water filter system installed in our home. We were pleasantly surprised at the ease of installation after waiting SO long for the filter to arrive. I will order my next one right away - in case they are back ordered again.

I used this filter to filter the water going to my refrigerator. We have hard water and the ice cubes were very white. My hope was that I would get clear cubes. I found out that is more to clear cubes than filtering the water.The filtered water will be better for the refrigerator and will be better to drink. I have some issues with water coming out slower than when it was hooked directly to the waterline. I may be using this in a way it was intended to be used. (It comes with its own faucet)At first, the water didn't taste great. I didn't have all of the carbon out of the system. The instructions did say to let the tank fill, completely drain it, and repeat 1-2 more times. I found it hard to do this with it hooked to the refrigerator. The filter would fill the tank before the refrigerator would run out of water.I decided to disconnect the line going to the fridge and drain it that way. It worked much better. The water tastes better. I do believe I have some carbon in the refrigerator still but it is working its way out.It might have been better to use the supplied faucet and filter the water to the refrigerator with a simpler filter. I may do that at some point.

Easy to install no taste in our water anymore

First month of operation my tds was at 55. 2 months in tds is at 150 my Brita pitcher is at 145. Water I get at Walmart is at 17 for tds do yourself a favor and buy a better ro systemAbove is my original review while my opinion still stands on this model. One thing I do want to mention about the company is. There customer service is top knotch. Constantine a customer service rep reached out to me and took care of all my issues. He sent me new filters. They didn't fix the problem so he sent me a upgraded unit and that thing is mint. That company went above and beyond to make sure I have clean water. Water drop needs to give that guy a raise. Can't give enough praise to this company. A+ guys keep up the good work.Anyone thinking about this unit do yourself a favor and get the G2 p600. If your a shopper that wants to shop with a great company water drop direct is the way to go
