Wheels Break Off
Used as a rolling shelf unit in a pantry where it worked fine for a few years. However, after continually moving it in and out over the years, a wheel broke off. Replacing it with the 36" wide 350# unit which has 1" diameter poles and much sturdier wheels. Other than the broken wheel it was fine.NOTE: When I called Whitmor, they said this was not their product since the poles were not 1" and they always sell the wheels separately. I did not pursue it any further.

Perfect for my kitchen
I bought this item and the matching microwave cart and they inexpensively and fabulously revitalized my kitchen. Like other reviewers have said, this is extremely easy to to put together without help. I followed their tips and installed the wheels and two shelves before I added the upper poles, and discarded the rubber washers that are only used for shipping. It was well packed to prevent damage, and was even easy to unpack -- just open one end flap and turn it upside down. This thing is amazingly well designed and I recommend it to anyone with a tight budget and a need for storage. The only reason it took me more than a few minutes to put it together was I had a hard time deciding how I wanted to arrange the shelves but even that was easy. I just put the plastic shelf holders on, slid them until they clicked into the line, counted lines to add the holders to the other shelves, then lightly slid the shelf into place without pressing down. I could put things on the shelves below and then just re-position the shelf holders if I wanted the one above higher or lower. I decided to leave a little floor space underneath, then have a tall bottom shelf for appliances, then two smaller shelves, then the biggest space at the top to hang pots and put lids on the shelf underneath them. It is now loaded with heavy things and it is sturdy and still easy to roll around. Love it.

Once You Get It Together, Great Product
Hard to put together you need two people. However, I did it by myself, (although it took two tries) by basically trying to hold up four corners at once in order to get that first shelf installed. The directions could be improved. I could have used 6 hands. I had no idea what the little black plastic things were for, until after the first time I put the thing together and it was so incredibly wobbly, it was obvious something was wrong. So I took it all apart and tried again the next night. I also had the shelves upside down the first time which didn't help either. I would say it took me 6-7 hours total. But that's just me alone without a lot of information from Whitmor. It now resides in my kitchen pantry and I love it. Very sturdy, and the wheels are fine, the thing is loaded and moves around like a dream.

Very useful storage
It's far more attractive than those shelving arrangements for garages, it's sturdy, and it has wheels. I'm using it for storing several things we buy in bulk (including canned cat food because our cats are on four different kinds of canned food and it's cheaper to buy them by the case). Like everything else for which "some assembly is required", it's not quite as easy as they claim--it took me an hour, not 30 minutes. It would be much easier with a second pair of hands, but I managed, after I realized that the ornamental shelf lip has to point down. I'd been thinking it was meant to keep stuff from sliding off the shelf. If we had a pantry, rather than an alcove, I'd buy another.

Do not recommend this cart - Super easy to assemble but disappointing in actual use
Updating my review - The wheels provided for the cart are of poor quality. The stem on the wheels bend with normal use. The company typically replaces damaged wheels at no charge but since they continue to bend at the stem... it's not worth it.If you need a cart on wheels, this is not the one. If you need a shelving system that doesn't need to be moved around, feet are provided for stationary use as an alternative to the wheels.---Really like how easy this was to assemble. Parts are of good quality and no issues with missing parts, etc. Instructions fairly straightforward. Also, Whitmor offers an easy way to order replacement parts if any are damaged or missing. Just started using it and so far am very pleased.

Nice shelf, but
Easy to assemble and sturdy. My mistake by not looking at the dimensions (have same design but bigger shelf). This unit is far too expensive for its size and retails at Loewes for half the price. Don't buy at this price !!!!!!!

Flexible, sturdy, and best of all --- rollable!
It's a tad awkward putting together by yourself. But worth the effort. I use it in a wide closet to separate it into three sections - two clothes rods on the left, one on the right, and this in the centre for folded items. I especially love that it rolls so easily, even on carpet. Makes it easy to take out and really clean the closet floor. Sturdy, well built, wish I'd bought three more. (I suppose I could just get two more!)
