Men’s knee-high business socks made of 98% silk black

Excellent socks, These are not inexpensive but they fit and wear well. These are thin dress socks and stay up all day long. I wear them with dress shoes and cowboy boots. They make getting boots on and off a breeze.

The preferred socks to wear with black tie are over the calf, black, silk hose. These are PERFECT. Don't let the photo fool you, you can not see through these socks. The slight sheen to these socks compliment the satin stripe on formal trousers and makes a nice transition to the patent leather formal pumps or patent leather balmoral oxfords that should be worn with black tie. These formal socks have 2% Spandex that will keep the socks up nicely without the use of sock garters. The over the calf length is preferred in black tie as it is quite the fashion faux pas to sit down and cross your legs and have your big, ol', hairy leg show. If you own your own tuxedo, you need a pair of these socks. Now, do not pay any attention to Amazon's size chart. It is just wrong and does not match the German sock sizes. I called Amazon and they tried to use a conversion chart, at least that is what I was told, and Amazon told me that my size was the 48-50 size. I wear US men's size 11 1/2 shoes. The socks were too big. I emailed Albert Kreuz to inquire what size should fit. They responded the following day and told me I wore 45-47. I ordered the new size and they fit perfectly. Before you order, I suggest that you email Albert Kreuz to determine your size. They respond very quickly.

Love these socks. The fit and feel of the material is wonderful. Length is up to the knee which is good for slippage if not using sick garters. Also have a calf length pair, same great fit and feel, that I use the sock garters with. Would highly recommend.

My husband is really really picky and he loves these socks. They’re silk and hold up quite well. Not too thin. These are his favorite.

I love this product. Its hard to find a product such as these that goes all the way to the knee for a great price. I have to wear compression stockings for leg swelling and the stockings cause some leg irritation. I wear these socks under the stockings and they fixed my problem. They can also be worn by themselves as regular socks. I find they stay in place without falling down and are very comfortable to wear for long periods. Since they are silk, they have to be hand washed. I wash them in the sink but I suggest that they be washed before worn since whatever dyeing process is used to dye them seems to come out when they are washed for the first few times. I ordered several pairs and these will be my go to socks from now on. They don't constrict like some socks do. I ordered these from Amazon and got a message from the company that the socks would be coming out of the German location since Amazon didn't have them. They were delivered in a prompt and timely manner with no flaws.

The socks arrived on time. I really enjoy wearing the socks. I loved the length, the excellent quality of the fabric (silk) and the socks fit me really well. I will definitely wear the socks in formal occasions. Definitely worth the money I purchased it with. This pair of over the calf dress socks with Albert Kreuz made in Germany were excellent.

Good value for beautiful silk hose that will actually stay up. And the customer service people proactively took good care of me when USPS claimed the original package was "undeliverable" to the address I always use. A first rate company, with a first rate product. One small caution: I found that the hose run a teeny bit large in the foot (I'm 11/11.5 narrow and got the largest size, stated for 11-13). Not a particular issue for evening wear, but I might consider the next size down if I were going to wear them more actively.

I ordered these to go along with a tuxedo. Finding silk over-the-calf socks is difficult but I much prefer them to wearing sock garters, and these came highly recommended. Unfortunately, my experience was less than ideal.The folks at Albert Kreuz were amazingly helpful in determining the proper size for the sock, since Amazon's size chart is completely inaccurate and the socks are sized in European sizes. They came, and they were as luxurious as I'd expected them to be. They fit perfectly over both my foot and up to my knees, exactly as a formal sock should. Super comfortable, looked great, and fit wonderfully in the shoe, I had no complaints.After the night was over, however, I was surprised to find that both of the socks had developed runs in them, and in one case, the seam along my toe had split open. I hadn't engaged in any strenuous or athletic activity in the course of the night (it was a black tie event, not a wedding), and my feet had been freshly pedicured several days before.While I enjoyed wearing them, I'm disappointed in the outcome of that exercise!
