I bought this to keep my notes in one place, it is a great bag that has enough space for the necessities. I did a bit of shopping and was very happy with this kit as it comes with the notebook and pen included. Around my office, these pens are a hot commodity and tent to become magical real quickly disappearing, so the internal slots for the pen makes it nice.The only thing I could say that Rite in the Rain should do is put a strap on the outside to help carry it.

I have been using Write in the Rain products for at least the past twenty years and they are great. Quality paper that keeps ink from running. You can write on this under water if you need to. Now Rite in the Rain has there own pressurized pen so you can write at any angle. The cover is nice to help keep things clean. Should last for years.

I’ve bought four or five of these books through different stores, and Rite-in-the-Rain never fails me. Their pens are a little short for the cover, but they write amazingly, even when wet, and keep my important notes from getting washed away.

Great product but the Pen did not come with kit. The pen was the only reason I bought the kit. Still a great field note book.

It is a pretty simple product that does what it needs to do. Overall this set here is one of the better bangs for your buck since it comes with the case and a pen along with the field book. The case is nice to have for keeping all your stuff together and makes it easier to bring along other pens. Personally I was able to squeeze in a protractor with mine as well. Besides the standard paper itself, there are some helpful pages in the back with information such as 9-lines and call for fire.

The pad and pen were fine the the cover (why I bought this set) was cheap and really disappointing. I have since returned it.

Awesome! I've taken this on two major international disaster responses. I only wish I'd bought it sooner.I actually now own two. I was not home when I got deployed to a second major disaster, and I knew I wanted this enough that I had a teammate buy a new one and bring it to me when they came over.The pocket at the back is perfect for collecting business cards without losing them in pockets of pants that either get dirty/wet or sent to laundry without checking. While not full-sized 8.5x11, it's big enough to be able to also securely store a few pages of briefing materials or maps folded in quarters.

Great field book for all environments and situations. I keep this on in my range bag for keeping notes on my loads and accuracy data.
