Proxxon 28534 Jig Saw STS 12/E , Green

It's a great product but without the transformer, it's not usable, It doesn't plug into your home AC receptacles. Other than that it's a great buy.

This tool is compact and easy to use. You will need to get the PROXXON transformer NG 2/S if you don't already have one to operate the tool. I use this tool for cutting gourds and it works perfect. I am 62 and have a weak grip but I can use this with no problems it is light and has the power to cut quickly and with ease.

Fantastic mini jigsaw. Note that it works with an external 12v transformer (sold separately). I bought it so that my kids can easily use it on craft projects. I like using it on small Woodworking projects. I have a high end corded Bosch jigsaw and a 12v battery powered Bosch jigsaw. These I use on the big stuff where I need to make cuts in thick wood pieces. This one works great on small/thin stuff where it's safer to use than bringing in the big guys.

This saw replaced one that died. A new one from Amazon was only about $10 more than having the factory repair my old one. If you are looking for a craft jig saw look somewhere else. The on/off switch is in a place that you can not reach. It takes three hands to operate the saw. one to hold the saw, one to hold your work, and one to operate the switch. Very poor design.

This is my second proxy jig saw. I am a gourd artist and my first one decided to retire in Jan 2021. #1 carved over 1000 gourds for me in a 10 year period. I am certain my second will preform just as beautifully. Tip: don’t force a cut, give the blade time to do the cutting. You will save changing blades.

We are extremely disappointed with this product. We bought it for the first time just over 2 years ago and used it about 6 times. Left it in Arizona and couldn't come back because of the border closure. Came back this year and it would not work. Contacted Proxxon and there was nothing they would do. Ordered another one a month ago and when we received it, we could not budge the set screw to release the blade. Contacted Proxxon and the fellow there said sometimes the screw is a bit tight. I am pretty strong but could not budge it. Sent it back and requested a replacement. Just received the third one and exactly the same problem. Is there anyone alive in Quality Control?

Had been looking at this little jigsaw for a long while before deciding to purchase it. It is the greatest little tool for gourd cutting. Read several reviews on it, and that is what really SOLD me. Don't think it would be practical for heavier woods, or bigger jobs, but perfect for gourds.Love all products I've ordered from Amazon, and really appreciate the free shipping if the item cost $25.00 or more. Shipping to Hawaii can get real expensive and many things take forever to arrive in the mail here. All of the items I've ordered from Amazon have been fast and efficient.
